About the job

Are you a physiotherapist, and are you passionate about working with children and young people? Then apply for this position, which in addition to exciting tasks offers an informal and fun work environment.

About the job and the tasks

We are looking for a pediatric physiotherapist for our training team in the Center for Health, Volunteering & Prevention, based at the Health House in Hedensted Municipality. The position is 34 hours with start on January 1, 2027.

Your main tasks will be

  • Examination, treatment, and training of children and young people aged 0-18 years, according to the Child Welfare Act and the Health Act § 140. Training takes place primarily at the Health House, but the position also includes a partly field-based function, as there is the possibility of training in an institution, school, or own home by agreement.
  • Group training with children and young people with various challenges.
  • Collaboration with parents and other partners around the child.

The workplace is primarily in the Health House in Løsning, but with the expectation that there will also be days with training in institutions, schools or the child’s own home.

A driving license is a necessity, and there is access to a municipal car.

Our expectations of you

We expect that you

  • Are a trained physiotherapist and have experience with and passion for working with children and young people.
  • Can examine and describe the child’s development in sensory-motor, gross motor, and other skills; it is an advantage if you have knowledge of e.g. Bayley III, Movement ABC III, CPOP, etc.
  • Work independently and in a structured manner, and also seek sparring and close collaboration with your colleagues in the team.
  • Are engaged, proactive and contribute to creating an understanding of the child’s abilities, resources and needs, while challenging the child’s capabilities based on an individual approach.
  • Have an eye for the interaction within the family and a desire for respectful collaboration with parents and other partners around the child.

Why you should choose us

We offer

  • Exciting and diverse tasks related to children and young people. Including a good and thorough introduction and plenty of time in the onboarding period.
  • Skilled, committed and fun colleagues who look forward to welcoming you to our team and workplace.
  • Employment as a self-directed physiotherapist, where you plan your day yourself. We prefer that all therapists have one long day per week to accommodate the demand for later hours, if it makes sense for the workload.
  • A workplace with a focus on well-being and development, pleasant staff activities, and room for professional development and ongoing sparring with skilled colleagues.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment according to the applicable collective agreement, with the possibility of negotiating qualification and role-based pay.

We obtain a child attendance certificate upon hire.

About us

Center for Health, Volunteering & Prevention (SFF) is based in the Health House in Løsning. We are 62 employees with a broad professional base across the physical, mental and social dimensions of health.

The children’s team consists of two pediatric physiotherapists and two pediatric occupational therapists. The other therapist group in the Health House consists of 28 practicing occupational and physiotherapists who work with various specialties. The Health House has good training facilities, and in addition the children’s team has space in a large and nice children’s room.

In the Health House there is a good professional and social working environment with opportunities for sparring across specialties. We place a high value on professionalism, engagement, flexibility and independence. There is plenty of room for a good laugh and a very active social committee that organizes social activities from Christmas lunches to carnival celebrations and paddle tournaments.

In Hedensted Municipality we work according to the values Responsibility, Dialogue and Development. They should not just be on paper – they should be felt in our way of working with both citizens and colleagues.

Responsibility means to us that we take responsibility for our tasks, our professionalism and the common result.

Dialogue means that we are curious about each other’s perspectives and create solutions in collaboration with citizens, colleagues and partners.

Development means that we dare to be curious about our practice, try new possibilities and continuously develop our offerings so that they match citizens’ needs and the reality we are part of.

In Social Care you will become part of a Fajlfri culture. We have intentionally misspelled Fajlfri because we do not expect you to be perfect. We expect you to be a person who uses your professional judgement, dares to try new things and learns from what does not succeed the first time. With courage and trust in each other we can together create the best possible solutions close to the citizens.
