About the job

Do you have experience or a desire to work in the field of children, particularly children with physical disabilities and pervasive developmental disorders? Is an appreciative approach essential for you? Then you might be the right person we are looking for!

PPR Svendborg and Ærø are seeking an occupational therapist for the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service. The position is 30 hours per week from 1 January 2027. Your tasks will as a rule be individual training tasks at different locations and one day per week on Langeland, so you should expect a fair amount of driving.

Who are we

We are 11 dedicated occupational and physical therapists together with our physical therapy professional lead. Our target group is children and young people aged 0-18 who have challenges with active participation in meaningful activities as well as body, sensation and movement to varying degrees. We collaborate with health visitors, social workers, the family day care, kindergartens, schools and other relevant external partners.

We are part of an exciting and development-oriented workplace in PPR, which is organized in School and Education under Children, Youth, Culture and Leisure.

PPR consists of a leadership team, administration and 54 employees distributed between occupational and physical therapists, psychologists, speech therapists, pedagogical consultants and DSA consultants.

Our office is at Ørbækvej 49, 5700 Svendborg, and we have tasks for Svendborg, Langeland and Ærø Municipality.

You will become a part of

  • a group of engaged and competent occupational and physical therapists with a focus on quality and professional development
  • a group that is not afraid to think innovatively and try new paths
  • a lively and inspiring workplace with opportunities for professional and personal development
  • an organization that has a learning- and process-oriented approach with opportunities for sparring
  • a workplace that highly prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration
  • a good working environment with a high degree of self-determination and opportunities for sparring
  • a workplace with occupational and physical therapy students from UCL with two clinical instructors to fulfill this role.

We want a colleague who

  • has an appreciative approach
  • is good at structuring and prioritizing their time and tasks
  • has experience or a desire to work in the pediatric field and especially children with disabilities
  • works independently and at the same time can engage in close collaboration with children, young people and their parents as well as many different professionals
  • is a good communicator both orally and in writing
  • wants to share knowledge and experiences and contribute to further developing the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service
  • has strong professional engagement and a desire to develop
  • has a flexible approach to the tasks
  • has a driving license

Svendborg Municipality, in our view, is a workplace of a perfectly sized scale: We are small enough to be close to each other in a warm, informal community with short command chains and without hidden agendas. And we are large enough to have room for ambitions, high professional standards and rich opportunities for development.

We value everyday life and insist that it should be pleasant to go to work. We are busy, but not too busy to help each other.

Our values are not just on paper; we actually use them as a compass every day. We meet each other at eye level, in dialogue and with trust, and together we create a safe framework where we can solve our tasks independently, flexibly and responsibly.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement and the rules for local pay formation. You are employed as a self-managed occupational therapist. We note that the HR department will request a criminal records check and a child protection clearance for the selected applicant. It is a condition of employment that these certificates are satisfactory for the position.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges from 42,712 to 55,655 DKK per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special payments. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined by your experience, seniority and competences and negotiated with the relevant professional organization.

Want to know more

If you would like additional information about the position, you are welcome to contact the head of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Anette Christoffersen, at tel. 24990133.

The application deadline is Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 12:00, and interviews will be held on Tuesday 10 November 2026.

Applications are to be submitted electronically and should include a copy of the exam certificate and other relevant documentation and references.

We look forward to hearing from you!
