About the job

Are you the occupational therapist who wants to make a difference – every day?

Are you passionate about prevention, training and rehabilitation? And are you motivated by supporting citizens to maintain their functional ability so they can live the life they want?

If you also thrive with longer citizen journeys where you get the opportunity to build close relationships and a solid knowledge of the individual, then perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

At Health and Care we work to ensure that citizens experience coherent and well-coordinated paths that are based on their wishes, needs and resources.

Become part of our strong interdisciplinary team in Hjortshøj

In Care and Rehabilitation, Team Hjortshøj, we focus on high professionalism and quality of the effort, and we therefore need another committed occupational therapist in our interdisciplinary team.

We work from a rehabilitative approach with focus on retraining, health promotion and prevention. Our work is based on the Health and Care Pathways Model, and we particularly focus on maintaining citizens' functional ability and preventing functional decline.

You will work with both ADL efforts and shorter training and rehabilitation programs in connection with newly arisen functional loss.

The citizen journeys vary widely. From light support for practical tasks to complex pathways with terminal, chronically ill and multi-morbid citizens. You will therefore get the opportunity for both professional deepening and great variation in tasks.

A team with engagement, knowledge and heart

Team Hjortshøj consists of social and health helpers, social and health assistants, nurses, occupational and physiotherapists as well as a competence-developing nurse and physiotherapist.

We attach importance to high professionalism, good collaboration and a curious approach to development, and we are focused on learning more about our practice:

What do we succeed with? What challenges us? Where can we improve?

Working hours

The position primarily involves day shifts. In Aarhus North all teams are obliged to provide one occupational therapist for weekend work in a locally agreed interval. In our network it is every 4th weekend. Since we are two occupational therapists in the team, you will however have to work fewer weekends, potentially every 8th weekend. The concrete allocation we agree on subsequently so that it fits as best as possible.

Your tasks will include both short-term rehabilitation programs and maintenance efforts, including:

  • Training and rehabilitation after SEL §§ 86.1, 86.2 and 83a
  • Assessment of citizens with functional loss
  • Goal setting and follow-up in close cooperation with the citizen and the interdisciplinary team
  • Involvement of relevant tests and measurement methods
  • Transfer and guidance in ADL interventions to social and health personnel
  • Course responsibility and coordination – including contact with relatives and external partners such as general practitioners

Why you should choose us

  • We arrange individual introduction depending on competencies and experience
  • High degree of own and independent influence on solving the task in consultation with citizens and colleagues.
  • A professional working environment with high spirits and good colleagues
  • A culture where we help each other - every day

Salary and terms of employment

The position is intended to be commenced 01.01.27

Salary and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement and after concrete negotiation with the negotiable organization.
