About the job

Can you translate reality on the production floor into processes and data that work in ERP?

Apply

When a manufacturing company grows, the coherence between production data, materials, planning and systems becomes increasingly important. That is exactly the development TRECO is in the middle of. With increased activity and complexity across four production units, there is a need to strengthen how ERP supports production, from bills of materials and production planning to scheduling, warehousing and material flow.

Business Central is already the central platform, but there is still significant potential to strengthen system support and create more integrated processes across the organisation. Therefore TRECO is seeking an ERP Manager, who both understands ERP and the operational engine room in a manufacturing company. You will take internal ownership of the platform and help ensure that the system, data and production processes are aligned and function in practice.

What you will own

You own the alignment between ERP and the daily production.

That means you must understand what happens all the way through the production flow, from production basis and bills of materials to planning, scheduling, procurement, stock and the actual production. When data don't add up, a process ends up in Excel, or the system doesn't support how production actually functions, you are the one who, together with the organisation, finds the cause and drives the solution.

You will also take ownership of how Business Central is used and developed across TRECO. The goal is not more systems or more administration. The aim is to create an ERP foundation the organisation can rely on, and that works in practice, close to the people and processes that use it every day.

You will also be responsible for

  • drive improvements in ERP, master data and digital workflows.
  • strengthen central production flows around, among others, planning, BOMs/routings, warehousing and material flow.
  • build and develop superusers and strengthen ERP competencies in the organisation.
  • lead and develop an ERP Specialist.
  • manage collaboration with external ERP partners and consultants.

Who we have in mind

You do not need to come from a classic IT career. In fact, it is likely not there that we will find the right profile.

You could just as well have entered ERP through manufacturing, PTA, production planning or supply chain. The crucial thing is that you understand both the system and what happens on the other side of the screen. You know what a wrong bill of materials, an imprecise lead time or poor warehouse data means when production has to deliver.

It is necessary that you

  • have solid experience with the use, development or implementation of ERP in a manufacturing company.
  • understand production and supply chain processes and their dependencies.
  • have experience with process optimization and can translate business needs into concrete system solutions.
  • can create momentum and get different parts of the organisation on board with new processes and ways of working.
  • have experience with Business Central or NAV.

It’s an advantage, but not a requirement, if you

  • have worked with master data, data discipline or standardisation.
  • have experience with user training and building a super-user organisation.
  • have had professional responsibility or people management responsibilities.

The hard part and the good

The hard part: When a manufacturing company grows, processes and system support must keep up. You must be able to look across the production, prioritise the right improvements and create solutions that work in day-to-day operations and can withstand continued development.

The good: You get a real opportunity to shape how TRECO will work with ERP going forward. You are close to production and can follow the impact of your improvements all the way from bills of materials and planning to procurement, warehousing and production. When something gets better, you can see it directly in operations.
