About the job

Do you want to help develop an area that has great importance for Danes' working lives? And are you process‑minded with an interest in thinking policy and professionalism together? Then we have an exciting position for you.

Be part of setting the direction for the development of the Danish labour market

In the Office for Working Life we work for a safe and healthy working environment. We develop political initiatives and legislation that should help prevent workplace accidents, hazardous chemicals and cancer-causing substances, as well as physical and psychological wear and tear. We also develop initiatives and actions to counter social dumping and labour market crime. These are areas that are central to a well‑functioning labour market and have great importance for both the individual and for Danish businesses.

A central part of our work consists of ministerial servicing, policy development, government coordination and legislative work. We work closely with the Danish Working Environment Authority and the National Research Centre for the Working Environment and the social partners, as well as other ministries and authorities.

Become part of a professionally strong office with a focus on collaboration and professional development

In the Office for Working Life we prioritise good collegiality, professional development and collaboration in a challenging and varied everyday life. We work in professional communities, so there is an opportunity for professional sparring, and we also value more informal chats by the coffee machine – both with each other in the office, but also across the department.

As our new colleague, ministerial servicing will be your core task, and you will as part of it:

  • contribute to the development of policy proposals and coordinate negotiation processes
  • support that political decisions and agreements become reality
  • contribute to ensuring that the minister makes decisions on a sharp and professionally grounded basis that is politically properly tailored
  • servicing the Folketing in the form of committee hearings, parliamentary questions etc., in cooperation with the Danish Working Environment Authority and the National Research Centre for the Working Environment and other ministries.

Become our new colleague

We imagine that you have a relevant Master's degree, e.g., cand.scient.pol., cand.jur., cand.polit., or cand.scient.soc. You can be newly graduated or have experience from a ministry, agency or another political organization.

In addition, you should preferably

  • have a flair for managing and coordinating cross‑cutting processes
  • be able to maintain an overview, keep track of details and look forward
  • have a high professional level and be able to think politically
  • be good at communicating complex material so it can be understood
  • thrive in a changing daily life where you can deliver high-quality results with tight deadlines
  • be a good colleague and team player who takes pride in making your colleagues good – both in the department and in our close collaboration with the Danish Working Environment Authority.

If you have knowledge of the occupational environment area, the effort against social dumping or the stakeholder landscape in the labour market, it is an advantage but not a requirement.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a permanent full-time role. We would like you to start as soon as possible and no later than 1 December 2026.

You will be employed as a fuldmægtig under the State’s collective agreement for academics.

Your daily workplace is Holmens Kanal 20, 1060 København K.
