About the job

Would you like to use your physiotherapy professional skills in a daily life with complex patient pathways, close interdisciplinary collaboration and good colleagues?

So we have a 6-month temporary position as a physiotherapist in our orthopedic surgical ward at OUH Odense.

We are seeking an engaged physiotherapist who wishes to become part of a department where we work closely across professional groups, and where each employee's professional skills are important to create good and coherent patient pathways.

Who are we?

Our orthopedic surgical ward has space for 30 patients. We provide treatment and care for patients after major trauma, amputations and elective orthopedic surgical operations.

We are a dynamic department with skilled and engaged staff, where both professionalism, collaboration and the social community are highly valued.

With us, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social and health care assistants, doctors, secretaries and duty schedulers work closely together about the patients.

We believe that the best patient pathways are created when we bring our different professions into play and help each other solve both mono- and interprofessional tasks.

We continuously work on developing our patient pathways and workflows, among other things with a focus on early mobilization, rehabilitation and coherent discharge pathways.

What will you be working with?

As a physiotherapist with us you get a versatile daily life, where you both work independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Your tasks will include

  • Examination, assessment and physiotherapeutic treatment of inpatients with orthopedic surgery.
  • Early mobilization, rehabilitation and assessment of patients' functional level.
  • Planning and coordination of rehabilitation and discharge pathways.
  • Assessment and trial of relevant walking and treatment aids.
  • Respiratory physiotherapy, including mobilization, breathing techniques and PEP treatment.
  • Information for patients and relatives as well as interprofessional sparring.
  • Documentation and preparation of rehabilitation plans.
  • Take part in the department's defined common tasks necessary to run a ward with patient-centered focus.

You become an important part of the overall patient pathway, where we work together to ensure patients have the best prerequisites to regain their functioning and to move on well after admission.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are a licensed physiotherapist – preferably with experience in the orthopedic surgical specialty.
  • Have interest in working with complex patient pathways and early rehabilitation.
  • Can work independently, be structured and take responsibility for your tasks.
  • Thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and actively contribute to good collaboration.
  • Are curious, flexible and eager to learn new things.
  • Contribute to a good working environment where we help each other and have room for both professional discussions and a good laugh.

The most important for us is that you want to bring your professional skills into play and be an active part of our community.

What can we offer?

  • An exciting and versatile temporary position with the opportunity to develop your physiotherapeutic competencies.
  • A training program tailored to your experience.
  • Skilled and engaged colleagues with high professionalism.
  • A close interprofessional collaboration where we value each other\'s competencies.
  • An evolving department where we work with quality, patient pathways and preparations for Nyt OUH.
  • An environment focused on well-being, collaboration and professional sparring.
