About the job

Can you lead the staff at a visionary and development-focused elderly care center?

Ørestad Elderly Care Center is seeking a team leader for the management task in teams 3 and 6.

Team 3 on the 3rd floor has 24 residents and Team 6 on the 6th floor has 14 residents, cared for by a team of social and health assistants, assistants and nurses with a professional coordinator on each floor.

We are looking for someone who is both willing and able to work in presence and at a distance in a trusting and inclusive collaboration with employees, residents, relatives and other partners.

It will also be your role to participate in interdisciplinary task solving and to be part of an ambitious leadership team of four leaders who take responsibility for leadership, quality assurance and development of the care center together with staff and the manager in an open and trusting collaboration.

People are our most important resource

Ørestad Elderly Care Center works to realize the aims of the Elderly Act to involve citizens’ resources, self-determination and ideas in everyday activities.

Every day we strive to create a framework for a life with joy, safety, well-being and sustainability for the people who live, work or come to the house. We do this by inspiring and involving each other every single day.

We provide care and assistance based on residents’ different daily rhythms, which are reflected in the care center’s physical surroundings and flexibility among staff. We also involve volunteers in as many ways as possible, which requires a manager with broad professional qualifications.

In addition, we work with IHI-inspired improvement methods in professional development projects, and you will be a decisive player in these processes.

Ørestad Elderly Care Center is also a profile care center for art and culture, where we work to let art and culture create joy and community.

We seek a team leader with the following qualifications

You are a trained nurse, and as a leader you work in an appreciative, delegating and respectful manner toward the diversity of people, both when setting direction, developing new things, solving conflicts and setting boundaries. You have experience in achieving results through active leadership of staff.

In a changing daily life with many balls in the air, where plans often must be changed and adapted to new situations, you maintain overview and a smile. You lead by example and follow up – and can make yourself understood by different people in different ways, so that 'we understand what you mean'.

You are an accessible leader who places importance on the relational aspects with employees, residents, relatives and volunteers – and who acts respectfully, openly and welcoming on a foundation of clear values, goals and frameworks.

You understand the rehabilitation and Elderly Care Act’s mindset and can translate it to employees and residents, just as you apply methods from process and project management to implement professional knowledge and new initiatives, so that employees’ safety, skills and understanding increase.

A thriving work environment is also one of your focus areas, and you can see yourself actively participating in the working environment committee (MED) to ensure a good working environment.

As a team leader, your most important task is to ensure good quality within these areas

  • Values, wholeness and results.
  • Staff management.
  • Working environment and the environment.
  • Development of professional quality – every day.
  • Ensure a learning/developing environment in the team.
  • Administration and governance, including ensuring compliance with the financial framework.
  • Implementation of strategies, policies and new professional knowledge.
  • Collaboration both internally in the house and externally.

You will also share responsibility for the house’s overall operations and participate in the management of other teams in the absence of your leadership colleagues.
