Team Leader for Rail & Bridge Projects in Fredericia

Do you want to be part of a strong project organization and at the same time lead project managers delivering track, bridge and station projects, and ensure progress, quality and finances? Then you may be our new team leader?

As Team Leader in Track & Bridge Projects West you will have a central role in the daily management and development of a team of project managers. You will become part of the management collaboration in the Construction Division, which is responsible for Banedanmark's construction projects in many sizes. We primarily work with renewal of tracks, bridges and stations, and collaborate with some of the largest Danish and European client advisers and contractors.

You report to the lead section head and, together with them, translate the common goals and priorities into a clear direction for your team. You will be responsible for creating an overview of the team’s project portfolio, supporting the project managers in their task execution and following up on progress, quality, risks and finances. The role is about delivering results through the project managers – by setting clear boundaries, being close to the tasks and ensuring that the right competencies and resources are in place.

You must also contribute to developing and anchoring common standards and workflows based on experiences from the projects. You help the project managers translate learning into concrete improvements, train them in applying agreed methods and models. You participate in process validation, follow up on the team’s goals and progress and contribute to board/stand-up meetings with the lead section head and area manager.

From professional competencies you bring

• a academic education as civil engineer or an equivalent technical educational background relevant for construction and civil engineering projects
• experience with leadership and with implementing and embedding continuous improvements in project organizations
• experience with management of complex projects, including portfolio management, planning, budgeting and financial follow-up
• experience with leading and developing project managers, employees and teams

You thrive in collaboration with many different stakeholders and preferably have experience from a politically governed organization or a similarly complex environment.

As a leader you create motivation, well-being and professional development and are focused on getting both employees and teams to reach their goals. You manage to create an overview, prioritize tasks and ensure progress across several simultaneous projects, stakeholders and deadlines.

Salary and terms of employment

As an academic you are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

Placement is as a chief consultant with personnel management according to the applicable collective agreement, which you find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating an allowance. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the total salary at 18.07%.

For HK the employment is according to the currently applicable Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Government Sector (OAO-S Joint Agreement) and organizational agreements for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating an allowance. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
