External project manager - construction projects

(Central Jutland)

Are you strong in construction management, coordination and practical project execution, and do you have experience with construction and civil engineering projects? We are seeking an engaged external project manager for a larger industrial company in Central Jutland, where you will play a central role in the execution of a number of construction projects from planning to handover.

About the position

As an external project manager you will be part of the client's project team and shall support the team's building discipline resources with the practical execution of the projects. You will have a visible and hands-on role focused on progress, quality, safety and coordination.

You will among others work with

• Planning and progress: Plan the practical execution and follow up on schedules, deliveries, agreements and outstanding activities.
• Quality and handover: Perform quality assurance, follow up on errors and deficiencies as well as contribute to documentation, deficiency review and final handover.
• Work environment and safety: Contribute to ensuring that applicable rules, safety requirements and project requirements are complied with on the construction site.
• Construction meetings and coordination: Plan and lead construction meetings, ensure clear decisions and coordinate activities between internal disciplines, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Technical clarifications and scope: Handle practical and technical challenges in collaboration with the project's parties and ensure that changes are identified and handled in a timely manner.

You will have a role close to the practical project execution, where it is crucial that agreements and technical clarifications are translated into concrete actions on the construction site.

Your profile

We would like you to have the following qualifications

• Relevant construction-technical education, for example building constructor, construction manager or equivalent .
• Approximately 3-7 years of relevant professional experience with construction projects, construction management or practical project execution.
• Experience with timelines, quality assurance, construction meetings as well as follow-up on contractors and suppliers .
• Good technical understanding and ability to read and understand drawings, descriptions and other project material .
• Knowledge of work environment and safety on construction sites .
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders and create clear agreements and progress.
• A structured, practical and solution-oriented approach to project management.
• Good communication skills in Danish. English is an advantage.
