Head of Department for the Labour Market Area

In this position you will enter the core of Metroselskabet's efforts in the labor market area, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the area.

Fair wage and working conditions require more than contractual requirements. As a department head in Metroselskabet, you will follow up to ensure the requirements are complied with on the metro's construction projects and in operations as well as in dialogue with the labor market parties. You combine your knowledge of the labor market with control, constructive dialogue and cooperation – from visits to the construction sites to decision proposals to management and the board.

You will become part of the Industrial Relations team, which works with social sustainability in Metroselskabet. Here you will have professional responsibility for the labor market area and the apprenticeship initiative. You must help ensure that contractors and operations operators meet Metroselskabet's requirements for wage and working conditions.

In the role you must be able to hold onto contractual requirements while creating constructive cooperation with the parties who must comply with themYou will get close to the construction sites and collaborate with contractors, operations operators and other external parties on follow-up including close dialogue with the labor market parties.

Internally you work with colleagues within construction, operations, procurement and law. You bring your labor market expertise into play across Metroselskabet and translate it into contract follow-up, analyses and a solid basis for management decisions.

As a department head you have professional responsibility for the area, while the team leader is responsible for the team's overall prioritization and personnel management.

Dine opgaver

Your tasks will include among others to

• Follow up that contractors and operations operators comply with Metroselskabet's social clauses in ongoing contracts, including the apprenticeship area.
• Conduct dialogue visits and rounds on construction sites and projects.
• Build and maintain good cooperative relations with external parties in the labor market area.
• Contribute to the work on Metroselskabet's apprenticeship efforts.
• Prepare analyses and decision papers for the management and board that support the development of the labor market area.
• Ensure that Metroselskabet's social clauses are included in all relevant contracts, including adapting them from project to project.

You have solid knowledge of the labor market area, and you can use your knowledge in both contract follow-up and dialogue with partners. You can create an overview of complex issues and convey them clearly so that others can act on them.

We especially emphasise that you

• Are familiar with the Danish model and the collective agreements.
• Have solid experience with dialogue with the labor market partners, including unions.
• Have experience with apprentices and the education area.
• Can build and maintain collaborative relationships and communicate confidently both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently and analytically.
• Can read and understand contracts and other relevant legal materials.
• Have a relevant educational background and preferably substantial professional experience in the labor market area.
• You are good at networking, and you communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Are positive, proactive and actively contribute to the team’s joint tasks.
