About the job

Do you want to help make a noticeable difference for children, young people and their families in Nyborg Municipality, do you thrive on building something new from the ground up, understand the importance of cross‑sector collaboration, and are you someone who brings things to completion, then we would like to hear from you.

We are expanding our Authority area for children, young people and their families within Social and Family, which is why we are seeking a professional coordinator for our newly established department, Duty and Reception.

You will, in addition to duty and reception, also become the coordinator for the 24‑hour on‑call duty.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 January 2027.

Social and Family

Social and Family encompasses the entire specialized social area, authority, and services for children, young people, disability and adults. Together we work to create the greatest possible value for citizens through holistic solutions and strong professional collaboration. Our approach is built on the values of community, courage, and visionary action. This means that we stand together in our responsibility, dare to think differently and actively seek better ways to support citizens’ well‑being and development.

As a unified department we work purposefully to deliver quality at all levels and ensure that citizens meet an organization that starts from their needs and meets them with both professionalism and respect.

Duty and Reception will become an integrated part of the Myndighedsområdet (Authority Area) in Social and Family.

The department currently consists of about 35 capable and dedicated employees, including social workers, family foster consultants and occupational therapists, as well as a department head and three coordinators.

We place high value on close, multidisciplinary collaboration and believe that the best solutions come from working together. Our work environment is characterized by high professionalism, great helpfulness, and an informal tone, where there is also room for a good laugh in everyday life.

About the position and your tasks

As a professional coordinator in a newly established team you will have a unique opportunity to put your own mark on the department. You will be involved from the start, where you will help to recruit staff, plan future workflows and visit Nyborg Municipality’s schools and day care services to build good collaborative relationships and ensure we get off to a good start.

You will report directly to the head of Department for Myndighed Børn, Unge og Handicap.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Provide qualified professional sparring and guidance to the advisers in daily work.
  • Ensure high quality, consistency and legal certainty in case handling.
  • Support and implement legislative changes as well as new administrative workflows.
  • Perform management supervision and systematic case reviews in collaboration with the department head.
  • Contribute actively to the professional development of the staff.
  • Participate in complex case processes and support the advisers in difficult conversations.
  • Participate in cross‑disciplinary collaborations and ensure good dialogue with schools and day care services.
  • Collaborate with civil society.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant social work education, for example as a social worker, and preferably with solid experience from a similar role as a professional coordinator or consultant.

In addition, we place importance on that you

  • Are strong in legal interpretation and understand the need to stay updated on current practice.
  • Have a solid foundation in social work theories and methods.
  • Possess strong competencies within coordination, structure and communication.
  • Have an open, appreciative and inclusive approach to collaboration with colleagues and citizens.
  • Think in holistic solutions and actively seek cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
  • Are robust, flexible and able to maintain overview in an organization undergoing change.

We offer

  • An exciting key role with great influence on the establishment and development of a new department.
  • A flexible workplace with a focus on balance between work life and personal life.
  • Flexible Friday.
