Academically strong resource and after-school pedagogue for the middle grades and the after-school club at Elverhøjens School

Elverhøjens Skole seeks a professionally sharp resource and club educator for a permanent full-time position. You will become a central part of our club educator team and the teaching team in the middle grades (4th-6th grade), where your primary task will be to create inclusive participation opportunities for all children.

About the job

In the school part you will bring your special educational needs competencies into play in general education. The goal is to upskill the pedagogical and didactic practice. You will among other things work with children with developmental disorders (e.g., ADHD and autism) and children from socially disadvantaged families. You never face the task alone; you always work closely with our competent and development-oriented classroom teams.

In the club part (where there are about 150 registered children) the focus shifts to the child's free choice, formation, well-being and community. We are looking for an educator who can see the value in linking school and after-school life and who will help shape our activities.

About you

We imagine that you are a trained educator with a resource-oriented mindset who thinks that "children do well if they can" . You look at the child's whole day, keep calm in a busy everyday life and are able to adjust your pedagogical approach if the circumstances require it.

About Elverhøjens Skole

Elverhøjens Skole in Herlev Municipality is an independent school with about 450 students distributed across 0.-7. grade (2-3 streams per year) and associated after-school care (SFO) and club offerings. We are committed to developing good, curious learning environments, and we will be known for a high professional level, strong well-being and a strong sense of community among both children and adults.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time role of 37 hours with start on January 1, 2027. Employment and salary are according to the current collective agreement and New Pay. A background check for children and an extended criminal record check will be obtained on employment.

Herlev Municipality has smoke-free working hours.
