About the job

Family Supporters and Authority Caseworkers for the Family House – do you want to make a noticeable difference for vulnerable children, youths and their families?

Are you passionate about creating a safe space for children and young people, and do you have strong therapeutic and social work competencies? Do you want to help ensure the best possible development conditions for vulnerable families? Then it is you we are looking for as our new colleague at the Family House.

We are seeking engaged staff for fixed full-time positions of 37 hours per week, starting 1 January 2027. The positions are located in our three age-based teams (Infant and Toddler Team, Children's Team and Adolescent Team).

At the Family House in Ikast-Brande Municipality we work holistically with families with children and youths aged 0-18 years. We master a wide range of approaches and methods – from family therapy, training and observations to child welfare investigations and administrative tasks. Common to the families we meet is a concern for the child’s well-being and development, but the background is diverse, which places demands on our professional knowledge and flexibility.

We believe that the desired change is best created through close collaboration, where we involve both the private and professional networks around the family. By emphasizing a high degree of child involvement and maintaining a sharp focus on the citizen’s inside perspective, we ensure that the goals we set together with the family make sense in their daily lives and create lasting solutions.

Your tasks

You will manage the overall effort in cases involving vulnerable children, youths and their families based on a combined authority and treatment role. This means that you have the overall responsibility in the concrete cases and perform the following tasks:

  • Combined authority and treatment: You prepare assessments and child welfare investigations and handle the remaining authority work in the cases.
  • Advice, guidance and treatment: You provide therapeutic and pedagogical support as well as treatment at the Family House or directly in the families’ homes.
  • Focus on resources: You work purposefully with parents’ competencies and resources to ensure the well-being and development of the children and youths.
  • Network involvement: You systematically involve both the professional and private networks around the family.
  • Effect and follow-up: You continuously assess the effect of the efforts and perform the overall administrative follow-up in the cases.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant education: You are educated as a social educator, social worker or psychologist – and preferably have a family therapy postgraduate education.
  • Are passionate about the target group: You have experience with or strong interest in treatment, conversation and authority work with vulnerable children, youths and families.
  • Balance your roles: You meet people at eye level with empathy and professional presence, and you thrive balancing the role as authority figure and family therapist.
  • Are a strong team player: You work independently and holistically, thrive in partnerships with colleagues and are an active, reflective team player in the interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Are development-oriented and flexible: You are open to new tasks and interdisciplinary method development, flexible regarding working hours, have a driving license and can make a car available.

What can we offer?

  • A strong professional collegial community: You become part of an engaged and skilled team at the Family House, where task-solving takes place in an interdisciplinary environment characterized by good energy.
  • An organization with a clear DNA: We work based on the value "Together we make a difference", where we challenge conventional thinking and find solutions in the community.
  • High professional level and development: Good opportunities for competence development, close professional sparring and ongoing professional updates in everyday life.
  • Focus on well-being and supervision: We prioritize a good working environment with regular supervision and daily life where, despite busyness, there is always room for a laugh among colleagues.
  • Flexibility and independence: A varied, exciting and meaningful everyday life with flexible working hours and great influence on planning your own tasks.

Salary and employment conditions

The positions are 37 hours per week. Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and under the Ny Løn rules. A child-disclosure and criminal record check will be obtained before final employment.
