You will work with professional and holistic nursing and rehabilitation in the local and coherent healthcare system.

The education consists of both school and training periods. School periods take place at SOSU Østjylland.

An apprentice position in Denmark's second largest municipality provides many development opportunities both during education and afterwards. You can, for example, use the education as a springboard to e.g. nurse, physiotherapist or occupational therapist.

Before you fill out the form, you must have the following documents ready

• Statement from current/former managers, if possible
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), if you have one, or relevant educational certificates (e.g. PASS declarations)
• If you are not a Danish citizen, you must attach your residence permit or latest confirmation from the Danish Immigration Service on the application for residence.

If you do not already have an RPL, we will arrange to book an appointment at SOSU Østjylland.

For applicants who have previously been a sosu apprentice

In your motivated application (max 1 page) you must describe why you are now ready to complete your education program, and what you have been doing since you stopped the program. The application must also include information about how far you reached in the education before you stopped.

For employees who are currently employed with another employer/in another municipality

You can apply to have your educational program as either Social and Health Care Helper or Social and Health Care Assistants transferred, when it fits with a completed school – or training period.

In your motivated application (max 1 page) you must justify why you want to become an apprentice and complete your education in Health and Care, Aarhus Municipality.

Only when you have received a receipt by email, have we received your application.

We expect to conduct job interviews in week 11.

Salary and employment terms

The timing of resumption of the education program, or transfer of an existing education program from another employer, will take place based on an individual assessment after an employment interview with Education Consultants from Health and Care in Aarhus Municipality.

Your weekly working hours are on average 37 hours, where you will mainly work day shifts as well as occasional weekend shifts and possibly evening shifts.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement. You will receive apprentice wages during the entire education program. If you are over 25 years old at the start of the education you will receive adult apprentice wages.
