The group program at Hedegårdsskolen is looking for a teacher for the upper secondary group

We are seeking you who have a resource-oriented view of children and a knack for applying it in practice. You see children's strengths, can look beyond students' actions, and incorporate it into your teaching. You are curious, proactive in practice, and skilled at forming relationships with all our students.

Our students are cognitively within the normal range as a starting point and typically have challenges in terms of social contact and interaction/attention and concentration.

Everyday life is arranged so there is time for collaboration, joint planning and sparring with psychologists and guidance counselors.

Your main tasks are

In collaboration with your team, to create a safe and exciting, motivating learning environment for pupils who need special pedagogical assistance and specially adapted instruction that extends beyond what the mainstream school can offer.

That you see the students' resources, and set goals for their academic, social and personal development.

That you see the student as an important actor in their own life and learning, and that the student's perspective and interests are included in the work.

That you engage in a close, commitment-based collaboration with the parents, your team, your department and your management

Hiring process and salary

The appointment date is January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We expect to hold interviews on November 24, 2026 from 14:00 to 18:00.

The position is, as a rule, 37 hours and a permanent position.

Application deadline: November 18, 2026.

We offer salary and employment terms under the collective agreement for Teachers etc. in the public primary school and special education in the municipalities.

Employment takes place under the principles of local pay setting and after agreement with the negotiating organization.

The salary range for the teaching position is 39,934 DKK – 46,586 DKK per month excluding pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is set after negotiations between the employer and the trade union that has the right to bargain in the relevant collective agreement area. Salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority, and qualifications.
