About the job

Are you passionate about supporting strong and stable operations, and do you thrive in leading through high professionalism, insightfulness and close collaboration? We are seeking a department head for our Department of Accounting and Procurement, who leads the charge on invoice handling, procurement and management oversight.

In the Employment, Integration and Business Administration's Center for Operations and Finance, we are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of our core tasks. We work purposefully and professionally with our processes to create a safe, trustworthy and proper foundation for the rest of the administration.

Responsibilities and areas of accountability

As our new department head you will lead the Department of Accounting and Procurement, where you will be the people manager for about 10 dedicated employees.

You will need to use your strong collaboration skills and professional insights to

  • lead the operations and professional development within the administration's invoice handling, professional procurement and management oversight
  • secure a safe and stable control environment and a proper task completion in close dialogue with the team and the business
  • translate business insights and professional depth into making qualified and sustainable decisions
  • ensure good, constructive and trusting collaboration with the business and other administrations
  • support wellbeing, high professionalism and a strong interplay in your team

Professional and personal qualifications

You are a leadership type who can achieve results and followership through decency, strong professionalism and a high level of empathy. You have a relevant education, and you confront tasks and people with calm, presence and mutual respect.

We place great emphasis on the fact that you

  • have solid professional insight into accounting and procurement and can create an overview and security around operations
  • are a leader who can offer close professional sparring to employees – in this context it would be advantageous if you have knowledge of municipal financial and procurement solutions
  • are strongly collaborative and thrive in building bridges, listening and finding good solutions together with others
  • are a clear and pleasant communicator who can convey complex issues at eye level with both employees, management and partners
  • are genuinely interested in people and can create a safe, nice and motivating work environment

What can we offer?

You will become part of the Center for Operations and Finance, where you will join a strong leadership team that works across departments to ensure stable operations and deliver results for our center as a whole.

You will become part of a professional organization where we work evidence-based, have high professional ambitions and value decency. We prioritize time for knowledge sharing and sparring. We offer an informal environment with respect for people, high professionalism and a strong collegial community. And we place a high value on us enjoying ourselves when we work.

You will work centrally in Valby. There is the possibility of remote work, and we place great importance on responsibility and engagement playing an important role for both you and the team as a whole.

Employment terms

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Salary depends on your qualifications and is negotiated within the framework of local salary setting.

The place of employment is Gammel KøgeLandevej 43, 2500 Valby.
