About the job
Psychotherapeutic Center Stolpegård is facing a major organizational and professional development. As part of a new organization of psychiatry at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital, a number of specialized functions, which today are located at Psychotherapeutic Center Ballerup, are being gathered at Stolpegård. This includes, among other things, psychotherapeutic treatment, treatment of eating disorders and transcultural psychiatry. The center thus grows from around 90 to more than 300 employees and takes on a significantly broader and more complex portfolio of tasks.
The ambition is to create stronger professional environments and better opportunities for coherent patient pathways, research and professional development. By gathering specialized competencies, Stolpegård will also become a national reference center that helps shape the development of psychotherapeutic and specialized psychiatric treatment.
Psychotherapeutic Center Stolpegård is seeking a Chief Development Officer who, together with the chief physician and the current development officer, will form the center’s new three-part departmental leadership. The three leaders have an equal and joint responsibility for the center’s overall operation, professionalism, well-being and strategic development. A central task will be to create a strong and well-functioning common leadership that can unite the different professional environments, set direction and translate the center’s ambitions into practice.
About Psychotherapeutic Center Stolpegård
Psychotherapeutic Center Stolpegård is a specialized center for psychotherapy with a long tradition of high professionalism and development of psychotherapeutic treatment. Today, the center provides outpatient treatment for adults with, among other things, anxiety and OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and non-psychiatric dual diagnosis and has regional functions in several areas.
With the new organization, the center will have a broader professional profile with specialized treatment offerings within eating disorders and transcultural psychiatry. The new professional environments will also strengthen the center’s research foundation, which in the future will include two professorships.
The center is characterized by high professionalism and a close interaction between treatment, research and development. There is a focus on quality, coherent patient pathways and on supporting patients’ own possibilities and strengths. An important part of the center’s culture is that leaders and employees take joint responsibility for the professionalism, for each other and for a good working environment.
About the position
As Chief Development Officer you will, together with the chief physician and the other development officer, form part of a new three-part department leadership with shared responsibility for the center’s operations and development.
One of the department leadership’s first major tasks will be to shape the new organization. You will help set direction and create involvement and loyalty in an organization where not all solutions are predetermined. We want a department leadership with complementary competencies. The concrete task and responsibility distribution will be determined based on the overall leadership role and the three leaders’ competencies.
The position includes among other things
- To contribute to safe operations, well-being and realization of the center’s strategic goals and prioritized efforts
- To create coherence and collaboration between the center’s different professional environments
- To strengthen treatment, quality and patient safety and translate professional knowledge and development into better patient pathways
- To lead and facilitate development and change processes with a focus on involvement and implementation
- To develop cooperation and learning in the center and with Psychiatrisk Center Ballerup as well as with the hospital’s somatic departments and relevant external partners
The work ranges from strategic tasks to more practice-oriented development tasks.
About you
You have a relevant healthcare professional education and significant experience from the psychotherapeutic field. You must also be able to participate in a three-part department leadership with a close and binding joint management responsibility.
We emphasize that you
- have solid management experience and experience leading development and change in a complex healthcare organization
- have a strong strategic and organizational outlook and can create direction, loyalty and collaboration across professional disciplines as well as translate professional ambitions into practice
- can balance professional development with responsibility for operations, quality, economy and the working environment
- have experience with or insight into bed-based psychiatry and the interplay between outpatient treatment and inpatient care
- have experience with or the ability to support larger research projects and the development of ambitious research environments
- are an open and relational leader who emphasizes involving employees and strong collaboration with patients and relatives
- thrive in shared leadership and can bring your own competencies and perspectives into play while taking responsibility for the whole and the collective decisions of the department leadership
Experience with the eating disorder field would be an advantage, just as knowledge of recent developments within recovery, transdiagnostic approaches and modular-based treatment would be relevant.
We would welcome that you have a relevant leadership education at master’s level or equivalent.
What you will be part of
Herlev and Gentofte Hospital is one of Denmark’s largest acute hospitals and one of the country’s national cancer centers. We have a wide range of highly specialized functions within both psychiatry and somatics, a large research environment and a comprehensive educational task. We are a university hospital with ambitions to develop treatment through research, education and strong professional environments. With psychiatry and somatics together at the hospital, we also have new opportunities to create better coherence for patients and strengthen collaboration and learning across specialties.
We collaborate closely across the hospital and with municipalities, general practice and the region on the development of the health service and on translating the health reform into new solutions for patients and citizens.
As Chief Development Officer you will, together with the rest of the department leadership, be part of the hospital management where the executive and department leadership together set the direction for the hospital’s development. This gives you the opportunity to both influence the development of Stolpegård and contribute to the hospital’s overall development.
We offer you
- A central role in the construction of the new Stolpegård
- A specialized environment with high professionalism and strong ambitions for treatment and quality
- A place in both the center’s department leadership and HGH’s overall hospital leadership
