Head of Department for the Job Team at Brøndby Job Center

We are seeking a new head of our Job Team as our current department head has sought new challenges. The department is responsible for the efforts for job-ready unemployed over 30 years in Brøndby Municipality.

Brøndby Employment Center's core task is to service local businesses and to support the citizen on their path to lasting self-sufficiency. This means, among other things, that we work purposefully to ensure durable solutions, based on the citizen's resources. We prioritise cross-cutting solutions and hold fast to the idea that our efforts must be effective.

The employment area is highly prioritized in Brøndby Municipality. At the same time, the demographic challenges in Brøndby make it difficult to balance the demands of the labor market. We have a strong focus on initiating an efficient and business-oriented effort. As head of the Job Team, you will help ensure that the quality of the effort is top-notch. There are clear expectations that the department delivers results. Therefore there is an ongoing focus on developing both employee competencies and methods in the department.

About the position

You will have both professional operational responsibility and personnel leadership for staff in the Job Team, which primarily handles the efforts for insured unemployed, job-ready welfare recipients, unemployment benefit recipients, and citizens in flex jobs. The team also plays a major role in many projects and cross-cutting initiatives. The team consists of 19 employees distributed across a professional consultant, job consultants and business consultants.

As a leader in the Employment Center you will join the management team, which consists of 5 department heads and the Chief of Employment. We place high emphasis on collaboration, both with the other management and with the Employment Center's employees and other partners.

Expectations for you

We expect that, as the leader of the Job Team, you have expert knowledge of employment initiatives. In addition, you should ideally have experience with operating initiatives and establishing projects/offers for the target group, as well as a desire to further develop the collaboration with unemployment insurance funds, suppliers and other partners. As a leader you should help ensure clear and presence-based people leadership with a focus on wellbeing, ongoing development and adaptation of the unit's areas of focus.

The salary is set based on the applicable collective agreement, and according to the principles of “New Pay.” In Brøndby Municipality there is a general policy that newly hired employees must present a criminal record.
