Then you may be the one we are looking for as the new head of department for the kindergarten department at Trørød Børnehus.

Trørød Børnehus is a large and diverse nursery with around 150 children distributed between the infant care and kindergarten departments. Everyday life is characterized by activity, play and learning, and we intentionally work to organize the children into smaller communities where relationships, opportunities to participate and a sense of safety are in focus.

As head of department in the kindergarten department you will be part of a close leadership team together with the daily manager and the head of the nursery. You will carry a delegated leadership task with special responsibility for supporting and developing the pedagogical practice in the kindergarten department. The role is practice-oriented and assumes that you are visible in daily life, have a view for both children and staff and contribute to the overall pedagogical direction.

You have instructional authority in relation to the staff and – within agreed parameters – handle the daily leadership in the daily leader's absence.

As a central part of the role you support the close collaboration with PPR, where you function as the link between pedagogical practice and the interdisciplinary collaboration with PPR. You have a coordinating role and act as the anchor in relation to interventions, follow-up and joint professional discussions, so knowledge and recommendations are translated into concrete practice in everyday life.

You are responsible for creating coherence between goals, efforts and the pedagogical practice in the kindergarten department. This includes, among other things, coordinating pedagogical projects and development processes as well as jointly setting goals, where you support the team to continually evaluate and adjust practice. Through professional sparring, clear framing and appreciative dialogue you contribute to the staff's professional development and to a strong collaboration in daily life, where psychological safety is an integral part of the work environment.

About you We are looking for a head of department who is trained as a pedagogue and has solid experience from the daycare sector. You may also have experience with leadership or coordinating tasks and are motivated to work with pedagogical development in close interaction with practice.

You work in a structured and systematic way and have a sense of how clear learning environments, shared professional direction and clear expectations create safety and quality for both children and adults. At the same time you manage to create followership through trust, dialogue and professional weight. You thrive in a committed leadership community and have good collaboration and communication skills – both in relation to staff, parents and leadership colleagues.

About Trørød Børnehus We offer a meaningful and exciting leadership role in a nursery with high ambitions for children's well-being, learning and development. The position is planned with a flexible schedule, where you support all environments in the kindergarten and have the possibility to be practice-focused across – without being the fixed adult in a room.

The role includes fixed office hours for administrative tasks. There are good opportunities for professional sparring, competence development and to make your mark on the pedagogical practice in the kindergarten department.

There is also the possibility of leadership training.

Employment terms The position is basically full-time and starts 01/12-26 or as soon as possible thereafter. Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
