Gaming, movement and good experiences with a 12-year-old boy in Viborg

Are you fond of gaming, and can you simultaneously create a safe environment and take initiative for activities? Then we are seeking an employee for a 12-year-old boy who loves Roblox, the universe and experiences both indoors and outdoors.

About the task

You will become part of the daily life of a happy and social 12-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. He has many interests and is happy to talk about everything from the universe and mathematics to Roblox and computer games.

Your task is to create good experiences together with him based on his interests. You can play Roblox or other computer games, jump on a trampoline, go to the swimming pool or visit playgrounds. He also enjoys trips in nature, where especially the sea gives him calm.

The boy can become overstimulated by noise and many demands and therefore needs clear boundaries and predictability. You must be able to create structure around your time together, be attentive to his signals and adapt the activities to his needs and energy.

About you

You can be trained as a pedagogue, teacher, or have another relevant background. You can also be untrained if you have the right competencies.

It is an advantage if you have experience with children and youths with autism and ADHD, but most important is that you can create calm, structure and safe environments.

You are eager to engage in the boy's interests, both when you play computer games and when you are active outdoors. You can take initiative for activities and at the same time make room for breaks when he needs it.

It is a requirement that you have a driving license, but you do not need to own a car.

Working hours

The position is 17 hours per month, primarily on weekends.

Shifts are arranged on an ongoing basis and can for example be two Saturdays per month from 9:00–17:30.

You will become part of a family-owned company with many dedicated employees. You have a fixed advisor whom you can always get sparring from. Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and occupational accident insurance, and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
