Gaming, action and movement – social work professional sought in Viborg

Are you into PlayStation, action and creative projects? Then we are looking for a social-educational worker for an active 9-year-old boy who loves using his body, building things and having fun.

About the task

You will become part of the daily life of an energetic and creative 9-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. He loves building with wood, playing PlayStation, cycling, swimming and climbing.

Your task is to create good experiences with him through activities, play and presence. At the same time you should help him find calm when he becomes overstimulated.

The boy can have difficulty handling demands and in stressful situations may react with outwardly aggressive behavior. Therefore you must be able to read his signals, be clear in your communication and create space for breaks when he needs it.

There is also lighter assistance with personal hygiene after toilet visits.

About you

You have a social-work background and can combine an active approach with calm and clarity.

You are good at building relationships, taking initiative for activities and adapting to the boy's needs. It is an advantage if you have experience with autism, ADHD and outwardly aggressive behavior.

You are very welcome to share some of the boy's interests in gaming, sport or creative building projects.

Working hours

The position is 26 hours per month, as a starting point

• Monday 12:00–15:00
• Thursday 12:00–15:00

The working hours may change, and Wednesday from 10:00 may become relevant.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension according to the National Agreement (Landsoverenskomst) between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work-injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
