Hørsholm Municipality is looking for a wastewater worker

Are you interested in working with wastewater in a municipality in rapid development? Then you might be our new colleague!

There is rapid development in the wastewater sector in Hørsholm Municipality. We are implementing separate sewerage and climate adaptation across the municipality. We work with small and large urban development projects where there must be control of both stormwater and wastewater. We are in full swing implementing new legislation on terrain-near groundwater. Finally, we collaborate with the utility Novafos and four other municipalities on a new joint water resource center, which shall treat wastewater more efficiently and ensure that we utilize the many resources in wastewater.

We are therefore looking for a skilled and engaged colleague who is prepared to take a key role in both daily operations and larger projects in the wastewater field.

You will become part of Team Forsyning, which consists of a group of skilled, experienced and engaged colleagues, divided into 2 groups – Wastewater and Waste.

The team is newly established. As a new wastewater employee you will thus have the opportunity to be part of an exciting process of shaping the team's culture and professional direction.

You can expect to work with, among others

• Separate sewerage projects
• Climate adaptation projects
• Environmental assessments
• Wastewater permits for private individuals, businesses and utilities
• Terrain-near groundwater and implementation of new rules
• Planning work in the wastewater sector
• Political servicing, daily operations and citizen service

About you

We are looking for a wastewater employee who would very much welcome experience from the wastewater sector. For example, this could be from another municipality, a utility company or a consultancy. Previous experience is, however, not a requirement. We also welcome you if you have a relevant professional background, an interest in the authority work in the environmental field and the willingness to acquaint yourself with the area and tasks.

We expect that you

• Have a relevant education such as engineer, biologist, geologist, environmental technician/environmental technologist or similar
• Have or wish to develop competences within the wastewater sector
• Work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner
• Can handle a broad and diverse portfolio of tasks
• Are constructive and service-oriented in interaction with colleagues, politicians and citizens
• Communicate clearly and professionally – in writing and orally
• Find it interesting to work in a politically led organization
