HR Partner with a strong professional foundation – Aarhus University

Do you have solid experience in HR and want to put your knowledge to work in a department that delivers strategic and reliable HR services to the Faculty of Arts? If you are ambitious, collaborative, and ready to make a difference – then you are the colleague we are looking for in Arts HR.

As an HR partner you contribute to the Faculty of Arts attracting, developing and retaining skilled employees, and you work closely with faculty leaders to deliver administrative support where quality, professionalism and collaboration are in focus.

About the position

We are looking for an HR partner who combines solid professional competencies with strong personal qualities – a colleague who can build trust, credibility and good relationships with both the organization and colleagues in Arts HR.

As our new HR partner you will be a sparring partner for managers at the faculty's institutes and in the faculty's administrative center. You will have a role where you work with strategic HR tasks, daily operational tasks and provide proactive advice to our organization. As part of the HR partner team in the department you will also help ensure and coordinate that we deliver high quality and coherence in task execution.

Coordination and collaboration between the partner team and the supporter team is very important, so the ability to look across a task and ensure common attention to all elements of a process is essential.

As part of the HR partner team you will cover several special areas of responsibility where you are the specialist. You advise colleagues and managers on the topics and you act as the coordinator when processes need to be planned or cross-cutting initiatives coordinated. Examples include annual salary negotiations, the MUS process, APV, Works Council, personality testing, etc.

Your tasks

This is a versatile job that allows you to work with a variety of HR tasks

  • recruitment of scientific and administrative staff
  • advising and handling personnel matters and management sparring
  • preparation of management information
  • participation in cross-disciplinary projects and networks across the university, collaborating with HR staff from other units at the university
  • coordination of tasks between colleagues and teams in the department.

Professional and personal competencies

We are looking for an HR partner with a relevant master's degree and several years of experience in HR – preferably with advising managers at multiple levels.

We emphasize that you

  • are ambitious, thorough and take responsibility for the whole in your task solving
  • can quickly get to grips with new rules and complex contexts – and communicate them clearly to practice
  • work business-oriented and ensure that your advice creates value for the units you support
  • have strong relational and communication skills, and can prioritize and structure with a high level of service
  • have sound knowledge of labor law
  • have experience from politically led organizations or knowledge of public administration
  • have good understanding of digitalization of processes and strong skills in digital tools – especially Excel would be advantageous
  • can operate in English, although the working language is primarily Danish
  • possibly be certified in one or more types of personality tests

What can we offer?

As an HR partner you will have the opportunity to shape your tasks based on your strengths, your professional curiosity and the needs that arise in the organization.

You will become part of a community where collegial support and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. We help each other across tasks and challenges, and we focus on both high quality and well-being.

You will have a workplace where you can develop professionally and personally – and where together we create the framework for a good working life.
