About the job

Some children learn best when teaching is clear, organized, and meaningful.

When mathematics and Danish become practical and make sense.

When nature and technology become something you can explore, feel, experience and understand – and when cultural subjects and creative subjects become alive.

At the Inclusion Center we are looking for a qualified teacher who wants to teach our early years students in the inclusion center in close collaboration with the class teacher.

We are looking for someone who can combine professional expertise, structure and relationship work – and who believes that all children can learn when the framework is right.

A place where well-being and academic learning go hand in hand

The Inclusion Center is a special pedagogical teaching offer (§20, stk. 2) located in Jerslev in Kalundborg Municipality.

Here we have 57 students from 0th–9th grade, who have been assessed due to behavioral, social, emotional and/or learning difficulties. Many students have diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD or attachment disorders.

We are looking for you to join with the class pedagogue to take ownership and care of our ICB class, which currently contains 7 wonderful students from 1st–2nd grade.

What is common for the students is not their difficulties, but their need for clear adults , secure relationships and manageable learning situations .

Teaching with pedagogical treatment as a foundation

With us, teaching and special pedagogy are inextricably linked.

We work purposefully with pedagogical treatment in teaching , where learning takes place in an adapted environment with clear structure and professional guidance.

For us, the core principles of pedagogical treatment

  • We compensate for what the child cannot yet do and thereby create an environment where the child does not experience repeated defeats.
  • We focus on what the child has not yet developed.
  • We communicate and indicate the goal to the child and guide it on how to reach it.
  • We adapt the environment , so the child is continually provided with optimal development opportunities in relation to the developmental goals set for it.
  • We work with the child in the zone of proximal development .

This means that you as a teacher

  • Teach with clear goals and concrete support in all of the class's subjects
  • Adapt the teaching to the students' prerequisites and nearest development zone
  • Work systematically with structure, repetitions and clear boundaries
  • View behavior as communication and act professionally and calmly
  • Collaborate closely with the pedagogue who supports teaching in the classroom

We adjust the framework before we set requirements , and we guide the students clearly on the path to academic and personal development.

Our values – and perhaps yours

With us, well-being and academic learning are mutually dependent.

We work from

  • Recognition as a pedagogical basis
  • Clear structure, predictability and fixed routines
  • A resource-oriented view on children
  • Small, safe learning communities
  • Close and respectful parent cooperation

Our goal is not only academic results.

Our goal is to give the children joy of learning, courage for life and confidence in their own abilities .

Your role – as a teacher in a special pedagogical environment

As a teacher at the Inclusion Center, you will be a central adult in the students' school day. You:

  • Teach in the Inclusion Center's early years
  • Work closely with your colleagues
  • Create calm and structured learning situations
  • Work with clear classroom management and relationship building
  • Contribute to development plans, documentation and parental cooperation
  • Participate in a cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues, management and PPR

You can keep an overview, even when the students' emotions are running high – and they sometimes do.

You can stand firm – with calm, clarity and warmth, because you want the best for the students.

We offer you

  • A full-time position in a special pedagogical learning environment in small classes
  • Students who benefit from clear instruction and stable relationships
  • A close collaboration between teachers and pedagogues
  • Spare with management, PPR and professionally engaged colleagues
  • An workplace where you are never alone
  • A meaningful everyday life where your professional competence makes a real difference
  • To be part of a school and a department that want to develop

We are looking for you, who

  • Is a trained teacher
  • Has interest in or experience with special pedagogy and -instruction
  • Works in an appreciative, structured and clear manner
  • Believes in relationship work as a prerequisite for learning
  • Is calm, persistent and mentally robust
  • Has humor and a desire to be part of a committed community
