Internship in the Central America Committee Spring 2025

Do you want experience working in an NGO? The Central America Committee is seeking an intern to handle important outreach, events- and project-related tasks in close cooperation with the organization's volunteers and secretariat. We are one of Denmark's few NGOs that exclusively work to support development and solidarity work in Central America. As an intern, you will become part of our small volunteer secretariat, and thereby also have volunteers and activists as colleagues .

You will be an active part of the organization's work and gain insight into several of our activities, both in cooperation with networks, volunteers and members in Denmark and possibly with our partners in Central America. There will rarely be two days that look the same, and as a small organization we have room to accommodate your unique skills and ideas. Thus you get a unique opportunity to explore your area of interest together with your other tasks.

Being an intern at MAK requires overview, drive, professionalism and good energy. We have had interns with all sorts of backgrounds and interests, therefore we look forward to hearing from you and which competencies you would like to contribute with us!

About the Central America Committee

The Central America Committee (MAK) is a solidarity organization. We aim to create active solidarity with the peoples of Central America: therefore we actively support the struggle for social justice, self-determination and human rights, and prioritize direct collaboration with political and popular movements. For more than 40 years we have worked with peasant movements, trade unions, women's rights organizations and youth organizations.

The internship position can be part-time or full-time and is envisaged to start February 1, 2025 until May/June 2025. We can of course adjust the dates to your studies.
