At Einar Risør Finerhandel A/S we are seeking a versatile colleague who wants to wear many hats.

The position combines internal sales, customer service, warehouse and logistics, and you will become an important part of the daily operation. It is therefore not a classic position – you will move between customers, telephone, computer, warehouse and the wood.

The most important for us is not whether you come from sales, warehousing or production. The most important is that you have knowledge of and passion for wood.

You must have an understanding of the different properties, qualities and uses of wood – and be eager to use your knowledge in dialogue with our customers.

In the long run, for the right candidate there may be opportunities to join us out on the road one day or two per week.

Who are we?

Einar Risør Finerhandel A/S is a well-established wholesale company with more than 60 years of experience in importing and selling noble wood species from around the world.

We have more than 60 different wood species in stock and supply veneer and solid wood to, among other things, the furniture and kitchen industries in Denmark as well as to customers in several European markets.

With us, wood is not just a product on a shelf. It is a natural material with structure, color, character and quality – and it requires professionalism and respect to work with.

You will become part of a small team of 9 colleagues, where we place emphasis on professionalism, sound business sense, helpfulness and an informal working tone.

Your daily life with us

In the first instance, the position will be 100% internal, which means that you will be based at our company and work within fixed hours.

You will have a varied daily life, where tasks can vary from day to day.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Internal sales and customer service via phone, email and computer
• Advising customers on wood, veneer, qualities and uses
• Selection and assessment of wood and veneer for concrete customer projects
• Customer service in the warehouse
• Receiving, sorting and preparing goods
• Warehouse management and registration in IT systems
• Occasional tasks where we help each other to make everyday life function

In short: You must be ready to lend a hand where it is needed.

Some days you will spend most time on the phone and computer. Other days you will be on the warehouse floor with a piece of wood in your hand. And that is exactly what makes the position exciting.

You should like wood

We are not necessarily looking for a specific education or a specific title on the CV.

Perhaps you come from a timber merchant, furniture or kitchen industry, a carpentry company, production, warehousing or sales.

Your background is less important than your understanding of and desire to work with wood.

We imagine that you

• Have good knowledge of wood and preferably veneer
• Have experience with sales, customer contact, warehousing or a combination
• Have a natural commercial instinct and enjoy finding the right solution for the customer
• Are service-minded and good at building relationships
• Work in a structured way and take responsibility for your tasks
• Have a knack for IT and can work with common administrative systems
• Can keep an overview when several things are in progress at once
• Thrive in a daily life where you use both your head and your body
• Can work independently, but also see yourself as part of a team
• Would like to learn more about both wood, sales and our products
• Master Danish and English – German is an advantage

But most importantly: You must want to work with wood.

You do not need to know everything about our range from day one. But you should be curious about the material, be able to distinguish between wood species and want to become even more skilled.
