We have a classified introductory position in surgery to be filled from February 1, 2027 or by agreement.

We are seeking a prospective surgeon with high professionalism, dedication, flair for communication, collaboration and social engagement for our department, which has a strong focus on education. We value experience with surgery, relevant courses and/or research activity.

About the department The Surgical Department is a gastro-union that combines gastro-surgery and gastro-medicine. We have 3 inpatient wards with about 60 beds, outpatient clinics, an endoscopy unit and day surgery. Our surgical disciplines include emergency surgery, colorectal surgery and endoscopy.

We work purposefully with care and diligence to develop our quality, both in terms of patient experience and professional standards. We have patient pathway descriptions, where patient and relative involvement, waiting times, efficiency and high professional quality are in focus.

Working conditions The duty is an eight-shift system with presence. As an introductory doctor you will usually be attached to the intermediate on-call team, depending on your qualifications. In addition, there are two on-call teams consisting of respectively 1st-resident doctors/specialists and consultants.
