IPS consultants for Frederikssund Municipality

After a year with Ungeløftet, the City Council has decided to invest in giving more citizens over 30 the opportunity for an IPS intervention. Frederikssund Municipality now seeks two IPS consultants for citizens over 30. As an IPS consultant, you will work with citizens with mental disorders or vulnerability and help them move closer to ordinary work or education.

You will become part of a dedicated team that has grown with Ungeløftet’s development. Today the team consists of six IPS consultants, of whom one already works with the target group over 30. With the two new positions, we will be three IPS consultants who will, going forward, work with citizens over 30, while five work with young people in Ungeløftet.

Your role

As an IPS consultant in Frederikssund Municipality you will work with citizens aged 30 and older. You will be their primary and continuous contact person and work purposefully toward work or education with a basis in the IPS method.

You will start from the citizen’s own wishes, interests and resources and work with employment as a goal – not something the citizen must first be ready for.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• support and motivate the citizen toward work or education
• identify resources, desires and opportunities together with the citizen
• proactively approach companies and create concrete job opportunities
• match the citizen with a job or education
• build and maintain relationships with companies and partners
• work closely with internal and external actors
• follow up and ensure progression in the programmes

You will have your own case load and great independence in planning your work. Together with the citizen you coordinate the path to the goal and closely follow up – even after the citizen has started working.

Since IPS is an evidence-based method, you should be prepared for results and workflows to be continuously evaluated. You will also have employment-related authority tasks in connection with some of the citizens you work with.

You will join a well-functioning, good-humored and dynamic IPS team with high professionalism, peer support and a shared focus on good results.

Five of the eight IPS consultants will be dedicated to Ungeløftet for young people between 15-29 years, while three IPS consultants going forward will work with the target group over 30. The three IPS consultants will be based at the Town Hall, where a large part of our partners and referees are located.

As an IPS consultant you will, however, have many bases. Your workday will include work at the Town Hall, at companies, in psychiatry and with other partners.

You enter a developing initiative with active IPS pathways and great opportunities to develop new pathways, engage with companies and build collaborations with both companies and educational institutions.

We are looking for someone who

• has a relevant educational background and drive and a desire to help citizens pursue their dreams of work or study
• can inspire and engage companies to see new possibilities and create the right solution for the citizen
• wants to work systematically according to the IPS method
• can work independently, is trustworthy and persistent, and has a respectful approach to citizens, colleagues and partners
• can create overview and think in terms of wholeities together with the citizen
• is a skilled communicator and an attentive listener

Experience with the IPS method and/or the employment and education sector is an advantage but not a requirement.
