IT support trainee for Regional IT – Implementing and Support

Would you like to work with practical IT support in a large public organization and learn the craft from experienced colleagues?

As an IT support trainee at Regional IT, you will be part of the engine room that daily ensures the IT solutions function for approximately 3,500 employees in the Region of Southern Denmark.

About Implementation and Support - Infrastructure and Support

The function area Implementation and Support, which is part of the Infrastructure and Support department, consists of about 40 employees – including 2 trainees.

Your colleagues provide the frame for a varied and at times fast-paced workday.

Your tasks

A central part of the job is staffing our service desk, where all inquiries about IT service and IT support land. You will help both administrative and clinical staff from across the Region of Southern Denmark.

As a trainee you will, among other things, come to work with

• Telephone support and registration of cases in our systems
• Troubleshooting on PCs, printers and other IT equipment
• Setting up new PCs, peripheral equipment, mobile devices and printers
• Simple network patching according to current guidelines
• Assistance with moving and reorganizing IT workstations
• Updating documentation and user manuals.

You will receive ongoing responsibility corresponding to your experience, and in addition to daily operating tasks there will be time set aside for school-based training and instruction.

Your profile

We expect you to have completed the basic IT-support program, and that you can see yourself in the role of IT support in a large organization.

Salary and terms of employment

This is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

Expected start date: 1 January 2027.

The workplace will be at Regionshuset in Vejle.

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement between Danish Regions and the relevant trade union.

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position you apply for. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

You will be hired under one of the following collective agreements depending on your educational background:

Akademikere – collective agreement 33.01.1

Collective agreement for Administrative and IT personnel, etc. - 32.01.1

Craft workers, installers, electronics technicians, etc. – collective agreement 32.23.1.
