Job Consultant for Job and Development at Jobcenter Favrskov

Are you passionate about proactive business outreach and can you create a broad business network? Do you have an eye for job openings and can you match citizens' competencies with companies' needs when unemployed citizens need to enter the labor market?

This 1-year position as a job consultant in Job and Development as of January 1, 2027 - preferably earlier - may be something for you! We are seeking a job consultant who will:

• Work with citizens who receive cash benefits and are covered by the integration act.
• Create jobs, establish wage subsidies and company internships for the target groups.
• Plan individualized pathways and sometimes provide hands-on support - in collaboration with citizens and companies.

As a job consultant your primary tasks must be carried out in dialogue with companies and citizens at the workplaces. You will as a job consultant have a central role in helping citizens enter the labor market, advise on preparing CVs, job searching and job search materials.

As a job consultant there will also be administrative tasks associated with the establishment and follow-up of company programs. There may be a need for somewhat longer descriptions of the company-focused initiatives when deciding on citizens' work capacity.

In the department there is close collaboration between case workers and job consultants. The aim is to create the right match between citizens' resources and competencies in relation to the companies' needs. At the same time, there is close follow-up of the citizen's progression and situation, and sometimes parallel social- or health-related initiatives are launched when there is a need to support the business-oriented effort.

In Job and Development we believe that work capacity is best developed out in the companies. We have experience that a quick job-oriented initiative is crucial for citizens to be retained or integrated into the labor market. We therefore frequently follow up on citizens' progress and focus on development and upskilling. Our goal is that citizens as soon as possible attain paid work when they create value at the workplace. Your tasks:

• Proactively seek out and build a strong network of companies focusing on jobs, small jobs, wage subsidies or company internships.
• Support and follow up with citizens and companies in the company-oriented pathways.
• Participate in network meetings with job consultants across the job center, including joint sparring and theme days.
• Collaborate and contribute to joint task solving across the team, the department and the job center.

Your qualifications

• Willing to have experience with the job consultant role and proactive company contact.
• Strong in company contact, able to open doors in a credible manner and have a solution-oriented approach.
• Understanding of companies' needs when companies have to take on employees with different challenges than unemployment.
• Clear communication skills - both oral and written.
• Great drive, focus on results and the ability to work purposefully.
• Good mood and a desire to contribute to a positive team collaboration and working environment.

The position is anchored in Job and Development. The department handles employment initiatives and benefit tasks for flex jobs, integration, cash benefits and resource pathways - as well as tasks around the Professional team and the pension team. Job and Development consists of 44 ambitious and engaged employees: 3 administrative, 1 interpreter, 10 benefit case workers, 14 job consultants, 12 employment case workers, 3 professional coordinators and 1 department head. Salary and employment terms

1-year position 37 hours per week.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement – HK or DS. Salary is determined according to the Ny løn principles.

Requirements

It is assumed that you have a driving license. Favrskov municipality provides the high travel allowance rate.
