Clinical research and specialized treatment

You now have a unique opportunity to become part of a specialized outpatient clinic where clinical research is fully integrated. You will have the opportunity to learn how to collect data for clinical research projects, but also gain extensive clinical experience with schizophrenia and psychopharmacology.

What does the role involve?

Your primary role will be to help start a double-blind randomized drug trial, where we will add methylphenidate to antipsychotic medication in patients with schizophrenia to clarify whether methylphenidate can improve patients' cognition.

There can also be other operational tasks, for example performing initial assessments.

Unit for Complicated Schizophrenia

The Unit for Complicated Schizophrenia is a regionally covering specialist function, which primarily receives referrals from the psychiatry outpatient clinics. The unit performs, among other things, second opinions, advising on main function and medication tapering. Clinical research is an integrated part of the unit, and most patients participate in clinical research projects.

The Unit for Complicated Schizophrenia is associated with the Unit for Oligophrenia.

Our expectations of you

You are a physician with B authorization and have an interest in psychiatry. You understand being part of a workplace where everyone helps each other and benefits from each other's competences with a common goal of making everyday life run as smoothly as possible. You are practically oriented and have a sense of humor.

Additionally we would like you to have (not a requirement)

• Psychiatric experience, e.g. from I position or locum.
• Experience with Sundhedsplatformen
• B driving license

Salary and employment conditions

Start as soon as possible or by agreement.

The position is a full-time role of 12 months duration.

You will be employed according to the agreement for junior doctors, including the provisions on working hours with salary placement as Doctor Grade 1.

You will find us at Nordstjernevej 20, 2600 Glostrup. We also have a satellite function at the Psychiatric Center North Zealand.
