About the job

Are you looking for an exciting job with professional challenges? Do you want to work with administrative law and health law, and are you ambitious on your own and society's behalf? Then you might be our new colleague!

About Individtilsyn

The unit's task is to ensure that health professionals who work or want to work in the Danish health service are suitable and professionally competent to carry out their tasks in a patient-safety focused manner. We make decisions on supervision in cases where authorized health professionals endanger patient safety. We also handle other administrative-law tasks, such as providing guidance to other authorities, including police and the public prosecutor, ministerial duties and citizen inquiries.

In our supervision work we collaborate strongly with foreign supervisory authorities, particularly from the Nordic countries.

Our mission is to ensure a safe health service. The tasks at Individtilsyn are highly visible and current.

Individtilsyn consists of a legal and a health-science section. You will become part of the legal section.

Your everyday life with us

We offer a position in an exciting and professionally strong environment where there is an opportunity to apply your legal skills in practice, and where you will learn more about the health-science world every day.

We are an ambitious unit in rapid development, and we are passionate about solving our core task. We have a strong professional culture with plenty of opportunities for sparring.

We guarantee that you will be professionally challenged, and that there is an opportunity to use and develop your abilities both with regard to efficient working methods and practical case handling. Your tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also have a broad contact surface to the unit's and the agency's other legal colleagues and to colleagues with other professional backgrounds as well as external stakeholders, including the Public Prosecutor's Office.

It is therefore essential that you are good at collaborating and finding solutions in joint efforts – both internally with your close colleagues and externally with a wide circle of collaborators.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Case processing related to individual supervision, including decisions on supervision sanctions.
  • Legal sparring with your health-science colleagues.
  • Advising other authorities on the rules of the Authorization Act.
  • Serving the minister and the department, including contributing to parliamentary questions.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications

You have a cand.jur, cand.merc.jur or cand.soc. in law and are proficient in administrative law with an interest in the health sector. It is an advantage if you are used to making decisions or have experience from another supervision authority, just as knowledge of health-law issues or legislative tasks is an advantage.

In addition, we value that you

  • Work independently and efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and speech.
  • Have an overview of your tasks and deadlines.
  • Are a team player who finds the greatest joy in the results we achieve together.
  • Have experience as a senior consultant

We offer

The Danish Medicines Agency offers good conditions for your work-life balance. You will be covered by the agency's flex-time agreement and you will have flexible working arrangements and the possibility of ad hoc home office one day a week after agreement with your immediate supervisor.

We offer meaningful tasks that often attract great public attention, and where you make a difference for citizens and health professionals.

You will undergo an introductory program and receive basic training in the agency's supervision tasks, tailored to your experience and competencies.

Our working environment is informal, dynamic and characterized by a strong professional commitment and mutual respect, and you will become an important part of the team both socially and professionally.

For lawyers, there is a cross-Ministry network of Lawyers within the Interior and Health Ministries' group, which holds two network events annually to strengthen cross-cutting cooperation and provide professional inspiration.

As a state employee, you are entitled to 2 care days per child per year. The care days are granted up to and including the calendar year in which the child turns 7 years old.

You will be covered by a pension scheme, where the pension contribution currently amounts to 18.07% of the pensionable salary.

You will be covered by a free coffee- and fruit scheme, free training facilities and a Swan-labeled canteen. We have an art association and an active staff association that organizes theatre and cinema trips, museum visits, etc. We have a bike storage and are within walking distance of public transport. It is possible to sign up for a parking space arrangement, and there are EV charging points. The agency is located at a beautiful site on Islands Brygge with a view of Copenhagen Harbour.

We are also a workplace that prioritizes collaboration on the green transition.

About the appointment
