We are looking for a kitchen assistant for 20-25 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027.

The work hours are on weekdays from 10:00 to 15:00.

We are looking for someone who wants to become part of the daily life at Hareskov Preschool and who thrives with both practical tasks, collaboration, and the possibility to put your own mark on a newly created position.

The kitchen – an important part of the children's day

You will become part of a small kitchen team, where you will work closely with our kitchen lady, who is employed 37 hours per week and has the daily responsibility for the kitchen.

Together you will ensure that the kitchen runs well on a daily basis, and that the children receive good meals and food experiences.

At Hareskov Preschool we see the meal as much more than food on a plate. It is also a community, a cozy moment, and an opportunity to give the children good experiences with food, taste, and the senses.

We dream of the kitchen becoming an even more integrated part of the pedagogical life in the house. We want to create more small activities where children can participate in the kitchen, explore ingredients, smell, taste, and experience the joy of food and cooking.

Therefore we hope you would like to help develop the collaboration between the kitchen and the children. It doesn't have to be big projects – sometimes it is the small moments around the food that make a difference.

Hareskov Preschool consists of three baby groups and three preschool groups and is surrounded by woods, green areas, and plenty of opportunities.

As a kitchen assistant you will become an important part of this community. We value all the tasks that keep the house running, and we believe everyone contributes something important to the children's everyday life.

Your tasks

You will work closely with our kitchen lady on the daily tasks in the kitchen.

Your tasks will include, among other things

• Help with cooking and the daily tasks in the kitchen.
• Dishwashing and cleaning in the kitchen.
• Preparation and tidying up in connection with meals.
• Practical tasks around the building, including cleaning, tidying, and handling laundry.
• In time, be involved in creating small activities with the children around food, ingredients, and meals.

The position is newly created, which means there are good opportunities to help shape the job and develop the tasks associated with it.
