Bro School's current principal is retiring after many years of dedicated leadership. You therefore have a rare opportunity to take over the management of a well-run school with a strong academic foundation, engaged staff and a culture characterized by trust, collaboration and high ambitions.

As the school leader at Broskolen you will have overall responsibility for the school"s continued development in close collaboration with staff, leadership team, school board and the local community. We are seeking a leader who is close to practice and can set a clear direction through professional leadership and trustful collaboration.

As a school leader in Slagelse Municipality you will become part of a common school system where we balance local freedom with a shared direction. We believe in locally available autonomy close to the core task, but also expect all school leaders to take co-responsibility for the development of the entire school system.

You have the will and the ability to

• be a visible and present leader who leads the school’s pedagogical development with a focus on learning, well-being and strong communities
• build followership through trust and clear communication and support a culture characterized by recognition and participation
• balance the many considerations and cross-pressure that come with the leadership role, while maintaining a focus on the core task
• set a clear direction when needed, while also creating room for professional freedoms
• have a view of the school’s finances and work strategically with resource management so that financial priorities support the school’s pedagogical goals
• work closely with the municipality’s other school leaders and relevant partners.

Your key competencies are that you

• are a strong pedagogical leader
• have experience from the school world and preferably a teaching background
• have a leadership qualification or are interested in pursuing one
• are ambitious on behalf of the students and the school and can set a clear direction with respect for the pride, culture and positive development that already exists at Broskolen
• build trusting relationships and see potential in staff, students and partners
• can create structure and overview without losing focus on people and relationships
• have knowledge of and interest in financial management and understand how to link financial frameworks with pedagogical development
• have humor, joy in work and contribute positively to the community.

What you can expect

At Broskolen you will lead a school with strong values, high ambitions, a clear sense of humanity and a fundamental belief that everyone does the best they can.

Broskolen is a well-run school with a strong pedagogical profile and several exciting development initiatives. The school is known, among other things, for its Makerspace, technology education, practice-oriented learning forms and close collaboration with the day-care sector. Through, among other things, MUST, junior master apprenticeship and outdoor school, we work purposefully to strengthen students’ academic, personal and social development.

You will lead a school with about 460 students from 0th to 9th grade and three special educational offers, where dedicated staff work every day to ensure that all children are seen, heard and challenged.

Broskolen’s current management and administration team consists of a school leader, an SFO/primary school leader, a middle school leader, an administrative leader and a secretary.

Salary and employment

This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week with expected commencement 1 February 2027.
