About the job

Would you like to help set the direction for environmental data and documentation in construction - and translate the new European requirements into concrete solutions for the industry?

We are seeking a consultant who can strengthen the secretariat at EPD Denmark and at the same time drive business development and projects in a time when the new Construction Products Regulation (CPR) is changing the rules of the game for the entire market.

You will become part of the Sustainable Construction centre at Technological Institute, where we combine high expertise with practical implementation in close collaboration with industry players.

Shape the future of EPD Denmark

EPD Denmark is Denmark's program operator for environmental product declarations. With the new Construction Products Regulation, environmental data move from being a voluntary competitive parameter to a mandatory legal requirement under CE marking, which changes the basis for EPD Denmark. In this position you will help draw the lines for a comprehensive development of EPD Denmark, so the role and the business adapt to the new reality and new opportunities.

In the role you will have a twofold everyday life: You will be a central driver in the continued development and operation of EPD Denmark, and you will lead or work on projects in the centre with a focus on the construction industry's value chain, circular economy and documentation requirements.

Your main tasks will be

  • Strengthen and support the EPD Denmark secretariat: Contribute to ensuring high data quality, support verification processes, and maintain ongoing dialogue with construction product manufacturers, verifiers and advisers.
  • Drive business development in EPD Denmark: Help develop new concepts and services in light of the new CPR - including preparation for the digital product passport (DPP), automated processes and potential expansion to related industries.
  • Lead projects across the construction value chain: Manage national and international development projects that help manufacturers, consultants and clients translate sustainability and circularity requirements into practice.
  • Handle relations and networking work: Engage in dialogue with industry associations, customers and partners.

Who are you?

We are looking for a profile who understands the construction industry's dynamics and can navigate between technical standards and business opportunities. You thrive at the intersection of operations, project management and strategic development.

We imagine you have

  • A long-cycle higher education, e.g., as a civil engineer, or an equivalent relevant background.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, its value chain and mechanisms – ideally with experience from a construction product manufacturer, consultant, certification body or trade association.
  • Basic understanding of environmental data, standards and the EPD system (you should be able to navigate the principles and concepts, but not necessarily calculate LCAs yourself).
  • Experience with project management and process facilitation as well as a desire to drive business development.
  • Strong communication skills in Danish and English, both in writing and in direct dialogue with customers and partners.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the new CPR or experience with digitalisation of product data.

As a person you are structured, curious and relationship-building. You manage to create an overview of complex regulation and communicate it so it makes sense to the customers.

What we offer

  • You will become part of an engaged and professionally strong team in the Sustainable Construction centre (about 20 colleagues in Taastrup and Aarhus), where good humor is a constant part of daily life. We share experiences and speak openly about what doesn’t succeed.
  • The centre has extensive knowledge of environmental topics, regulation and documentation within sustainable construction. We work pragmatically, close to the market and with high quality.
  • A high degree of freedom with responsibility, flexibility and influence over your own tasks.

The position involves a limited number of travel days (about 5–10 days annually in Denmark and abroad).

Contact and application

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Deputy Head Martha Katrine Sørensen at tel. 7220 2767 or Center Manager Peter Aufeldt at tel. 7220 2355.

We will invite for interviews on an ongoing basis, so please send your application as soon as possible and no later than November 12, 2026.

Application deadline: November 12, 2026

Location: Taastrup
