About the job

Do you have an eye for good processes and solid decision-making groundwork? Do you thrive in a varied everyday life with development tasks, coordination and close collaboration across the organization? Then you should read on.

In Tønder Municipality, we are looking for a consultant for Care & Welfare. You will be part of a team that works closely on political support, strategic development and implementation of new initiatives.

You should have strategic understanding and be able to see each task in a larger organizational and political context. At the same time, you must be able to create structure and forward momentum, integrate different contributions, and translate complex issues into materials that are clear and usable for others.

Some tasks you will have independent responsibility for, while others are solved in close collaboration with colleagues across the organization and with other partners. What they have in common is that you contribute to a solid basis for decisions and for the ongoing work. You must therefore thrive with both responsibility for your own tasks and more concrete deliverables where quality, precision and timeliness are crucial.

You will report to the Head of Department in Care & Welfare, where you, among other things, support the director, the head of department and the political committees.

Your tasks may include, among others

  • prepare case presentations, decision briefs and notes for committees, management, the MED organization and translate professional contributions into clear and usable decision bases
  • plan, coordinate and drive processes and projects across Care & Welfare and across the municipality's departments
  • support and coordinate cross-sectoral and inter-municipal collaborations in the health area
  • contribute to work with the Elderly Act and the health reform (including the upcoming local health plan) including prioritization, development, implementation and follow-up on new initiatives, workflows and cooperation surfaces
  • plan and facilitate meetings, workshops and cross-disciplinary networks and support that discussions are translated into clear conclusions, responsibilities and next steps.

We imagine that you have a relevant academic education and preferably experience with analytical, strategic or development-oriented tasks in the health sector. You may have many years of experience, but you can also be relatively new to the labor market if you have the right competencies and a desire to learn.

We would like you to be

  • experienced with analysis, strategy or development tasks, preferably from a larger public or politically led organization
  • able to write clearly, precisely and recipient-focused and be able to communicate complex issues – both in writing and verbally
  • good data understanding and able to use data to qualify analyses, decision bases and follow-up
  • organizational understanding and awareness of how decisions, people and different interests interact in a complex organization
  • structured, able to maintain overview and keep track of several tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • able to drive processes and tasks independently and carry them through – even when the framework changes along the way
  • good collaboration skills, thrive with many different professional backgrounds and stakeholders and can switch between longer development tasks and tasks that need to be solved quickly and often with tight deadlines.
  • empathetic and appreciative in your approach, contribute to sparring and have an understanding of diversity grounded in respect for others.

The most important thing is that you have a strong academic toolkit, are curious about the area and want to take responsibility for your own tasks as well as contribute to the many common deliverables that keep a large organization functioning.

We offer

  • a flexible workplace with an informal tone and high ceilings in a team characterized by high well-being, strong relationships, humor in daily life and a genuine interest in each other
  • good opportunities for professional development
  • close collaboration with the top management
  • a strong professional environment with skilled and engaged colleagues
  • a workday with a high degree of autonomy and good opportunities for sparring.
