About the job

Would you like to help make the Greenlandic Health Service an even better place to work?

We are seeking an experienced consultant for psychological work environment and wellbeing who can contribute to strengthening and developing the work with the psychological work environment across the Health Service.

You should be able to work closely with employees and managers when work life becomes difficult, including after serious, violent or potentially traumatic incidents, while also raising your gaze and working on prevention, development and wellbeing at the organizational and departmental level.

We are open to different professional backgrounds. What matters is that you have solid experience with the psychological work environment and can translate your expertise into concrete solutions.

We offer

  • A versatile consultancy role with both advisory work, conversations, conflict management, leadership coaching, training and prevention.
  • Opportunity to make a concrete difference for employees who experience work-related stresses, including after serious or violent incidents, which can occur both at the workplace and in connection with work in citizens' homes.
  • A central role in the development of the Health Service’s work with psychological work environment, wellbeing and retention.
  • A professionally and socially strong team with a focus on professionalism, responsibility, knowledge sharing and good humor.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a relevant advanced education or experience such as psychologist, occupational safety consultant, organizational consultant or within HR or a related field, as well as solid experience with psychological work environment, wellbeing and prevention.
  • Has experience with difficult conversations, conflicts, collaboration challenges, leadership coaching and people in taxing work situations.
  • Can handle and follow up on serious, violent or potentially traumatic incidents, including defusing and debriefing.
  • Can work both concretely and relationally while maintaining an organizational overview and seeing opportunities for prevention and development.
  • Is clear, empathetic and professional and can assess when an issue can be handled in HR, and when other disciplines or external assistance should be involved.
  • Is fluent in Greenlandic and Danish.

About us

  • You will become part of HR and the Wellbeing and Retention team.
  • HR works to support and develop the organization’s employee policy and strategy, including recruitment, retention, employee development, work environment and wellbeing.
  • You will be part of an organization with different professional and linguistic cultures, where employees and managers every day solve important tasks for the Health Service and the Greenlandic population.
  • We place emphasis on a strong professional and social community and on helping each other succeed.
