About the job

We are strengthening our efforts in the rural land zone area

We face many new tasks, including in the green transition. Would you like to become our new colleague? Then do not hesitate to send us your application.

The job

The Rural Land Zone Team currently consists of 3 employees who work closely with our building case team and the other departments in the Center for City and Landscape. You will become part of a strong professional and social community where we consult with each other, share knowledge and together find solutions to exciting and complex tasks. You and your colleagues will primarily be responsible for case processing of cases in the open countryside.

The core task is authority handling of rural land zone cases, where you will need to assess whether a project can be realized in accordance with the Planning Act and the Nature Protection Act.

Depending on your competences and interests, you will have the opportunity to delve into several of our case areas and develop yourself both professionally and personally.

Your primary tasks will be

  • Rural land zone cases
  • Cases about building and protection lines, protections, land and stone fences, bathing and boating piers, afforestation, trails in the open land, and the camping regulation
  • Screening under the Environmental Impact Assessment Act

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant education within physical planning or management of the open land. It could be, for example, as landscape architect, forestry and landscape engineer, surveyor, geologist – or another relevant educational background
  • We do not seek a specific educational title, but emphasize the overall match between your professional competences, interests and personal qualities
  • Have knowledge of planning and building legislation, including rural land zone provisions
  • Can see yourself in the role of authority making decisions
  • Are good at written and oral communication
  • Thrive with collaboration across disciplines.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you

  • Have experience with rural land zone and building case processing
  • Have knowledge of the Nature Protection Act, landscape protections and access rules in nature
  • Have knowledge of landscape analysis and terrain regulation
  • Are familiar with relevant IT systems – such as SBSYS and QGIS
  • Have experience with authority work in a politically governed organization

Your upcoming workplace

Building and rural land zone sit together at one location with 2-4 person offices and we are located at Kongensgade 18 in Slangerup. There is less than a 5-minute walk from the bus station, where there are several good connections with public transport. There is the possibility of occasional remote work days by agreement. We have a very good canteen where you can buy meals at a reasonable price.

How we work

With us, professionalism and community go hand in hand. We see our different professional backgrounds and perspectives as a strength and actively work to develop ourselves – both as colleagues and as a department. We emphasize sharing knowledge, learning from each other and finding good solutions together.

It is reflected in three principles

  • Professionality . We are professionally curious and share knowledge because we want to deliver the best solutions for our citizens. It requires that we stay up to date with knowledge and support each other.
  • Engagement . We are engaged in our tasks and with each other, because it ensures quality in the task solving.
  • Collaboration . We cooperate to succeed, because it creates better solutions in a changing world and makes it more enjoyable to come to work.
