Newly created position – landscape architect for Fredensborg Municipality

In Fredensborg Municipality we are seeking a skilled and experienced landscape architect or forest and landscape engineer with an interest especially in outdoor sports, but also other outdoor areas at our municipal buildings for a newly created position. In the role you will handle both construction and operations tasks.

You will become part of the Center for Properties, where the tasks span broadly and are carried by over 40 experienced employees with different construction-related backgrounds such as machine masters, building constructors, HVAC technicians and engineers, etc. There is a high level of professionalism, good energy and an informal tone in the team.

Center for Properties' main task is to support the organization’s other professional areas in connection with the use of buildings and outdoor areas. In the center we work with both operations and maintenance, risk management, technology and not least with the municipality’s largest construction projects such as new schools and new day-care centers.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for both operation, renovation and establishment of new outdoor facilities such as padel and tennis courts, artificial turf fields, playgrounds etc. This must be done in close collaboration with both the users and North Zealand Park and Road (NSPV). At the same time you must ensure follow-up on our operating plans at NSPV.

Your primary tasks will be

• Project management and governance of your own project portfolio
• Coordinator for construction and renovation of outdoor sports facilities
• Further development of maintenance plans for outdoor areas
• Follow-up on safety inspections of schools’ and day-care centers’ playgrounds
• Planning, tendering and initiation of renovation of playgrounds
• Collaboration with North Zealand Park and Road (NSPV) regarding the operation of outdoor areas
• Servicing and advising the Leisure and Sports Committee; including case writing

You should be aware that there may be meetings with users and suppliers after normal working hours.

To achieve success in the role we would like you to have a professional education within the green sector with knowledge of both construction and operation; including environmental approvals. You should focus on systematic, quality and service. You should be collaborative and able to communicate with many different users and associations in the municipal institutions. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of working in a municipality.

We have a fixed workplace at the Town Hall in Kokkedal, which is close to the highway, but we must daily go out to our properties located throughout the municipality. For this we have a car available, and it is a requirement that you have a category B driving license.
