About the job

Would you like to become part of a dynamic, engaged and development‑oriented workplace where relationships, professionalism and community go hand in hand? And are you motivated by making a difference for children in a special education class program? Then it may be you we are looking for.

As one of our skilled teachers has the opportunity to work in an administrative/municipal context, we are seeking, as of 1 January 2028, a teacher for our special classes cohort. The position is a permanent full-time role.

If you have major subject areas or equivalent competencies in mathematics and the natural sciences, that's an advantage, but certainly not a requirement. Experience with special education or an interest in the area will be a clear strength.

About the X‑groups

The X‑groups are a special education program for students in grades 0–6 with special needs, including ADHD. The offering consists of five classes with currently 33 students. The teaching is organized in age-integrated groups spanning 2–3 grade levels.

The X‑groups are an integrated part of Lindevangskolen, and both students and staff actively participate in the school’s communities and activities.

The classes typically consist of 6–8 students, and there are always at least two adults present in the teaching.

We are looking for a teacher who

  • is relationally strong and meets students with clarity, warmth and recognition
  • is robust and maintains an overview in a daily life that can be changeable
  • is academically ambitious and didactically well founded
  • is curious about own and shared practice and actively contributes to development
  • thrives in a close and committed team collaboration

About Lindevangskolen

Lindevangskolen is one of Frederiksberg’s well-functioning public schools, located in Frederiksberg West. With around 800 students and 140 staff, we cover both the school and after-school areas.

We offer a workplace characterized by high professionalism, a desire for development and strong professional communities. For us, the connection between each employee’s competences and the school’s shared goals is clear, and team collaboration plays a central role in daily life. At the same time, we safeguard each employee’s autonomy and professional latitude.

At Lindevangskolen, including the X‑groups, we work purposefully with children and young people’s learning, well‑being and formation. This is expressed, for example, through our annual literature festival, a systematic focus on technological understanding and a strong focus on student democracy.

A close collaboration between teachers, pedagogues, after‑school staff and parents is a natural part of our everyday life. We believe that all children do well when they can, and we therefore meet each individual child with curiosity, high expectations and an eye for their resources.
