A development-oriented special school in Holbæk

We are seeking a dedicated teacher for Ladegårdsskolen. We are a special school – and after-school care with students whose developmental level varies; we accommodate both children with multiple disabilities and students with pervasive developmental disorders.

The school is spread across three premises in the town of Holbæk and has about 120 students.

• ADL training and development of students' independence
• Sensory and motor-supportive activities
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues, parents and external professionals

About you

We are looking for someone who wishes to join a close and committed team collaboration. You actively contribute to the development of learning environments for students with special needs and are keen to work in a special education setting.

• are relationally strong, warm-hearted, patient and acknowledging
• work in a structured way and can adapt teaching to the individual student
• are curious and reflective about your own practice
• thrive in close interdisciplinary collaboration
• have an interest in or experience with TEACCH-inspired special pedagogy or AAC
• can work in an environment where externally challenging behavior may occur, and where personal care is part of the task
• maintain calm and composure in demanding situations
