A bit about us

We are a unified youth unit on Boulevarden in Vejle, working with both Ungeløftet and the broader youth initiative. In Ungeløftet мы are 14 colleagues, and in the broader youth initiative we currently number 10 colleagues.

What we all share is a strong commitment to helping young people move forward into work and education - and a solid professional foundation with a special focus on companies as the path to jobs and development.

We are focused on ensuring that every young person meets with an approach that is proper, respectful and involves the young people on their way towards new opportunities in life.

We are also a significant actor in the municipal youth effort (KUI) and work closely with the Youth Guidance Service (UU), the youth education institutions, the adult authority, Children & Young People, etc.

A strong collaboration is central to our ability to create the best conditions for the young people.

Ungeløftet

Ungeløftet is based on strong partnerships with companies, organizations and associations that create new paths to jobs and education for young people.

Methodically, Ungeløftet is anchored in IPS.

You will work with companies where wage hours are seen as a means to lasting employment. You will be the central driver of the effort together with the young people – with responsibility for both the authority work and the collaboration with companies.

In short: You are the effort itself, and you create progression in close collaboration with companies and other actors around the young person.

Your tasks

• Work together with the young people to achieve a job or education based on the IPS method
• Enter into dialogue with companies about collaboration, wage hours and employment opportunities for the young people
• Support the young people in achieving the best possible well-being in life – in close cross-disciplinary collaboration with other agencies and treatment actors
• Document progression and efforts
• Contribute to professional reflection and development in the team

We are looking for you who

• are willing to “go the extra mile” for the young person to succeed
• have the strength and professionalism to build strong networks with companies and civil society
• have knowledge of the labour market and employment legislation
• can balance the authority role in an employment law undergoing change
• are eager to work with IPS
• can work systematically, analytically and reflectively with your own practice

Employment Advisor – primarily for activity-ready youths

You will be responsible for systematic registrations, compliance with the law and conducting conversations where work and education are in focus. An important part of the role is to coordinate efforts across the board - so that the young people receive the right support on the road to employment or education.

You describe and prepare cases for, e.g., flexible jobs or FOP, follow workflows and work closely with UU, companies and other partners in the Municipal youth effort.

The youths have different prerequisites and challenges regarding education and work .

With us you must have an unwavering belief that the youths can move forward well - with the right support from you and your colleagues. You must also be able to clearly focus on work and education in the conversations – especially focusing on the possibilities that exist with the companies.

We believe that young people can do a little more than they think, and that for most people the path goes via companies, close collaborations and a persistent belief that it can work.

The position includes, among other things, the following tasks

• Authority work: job interviews, case preparation, decisions, assessments, guidance and administration
• Job interviews focused on opportunities for work and education
• Involve companies and work closely with company consultants
• Cooperation with the young people, relatives, etc.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in Vejle Municipality (KUI) to find sustainable paths forward for the young people
• Collaboration with educational institutions and companies

We are looking for you who

• are educated social worker or social mediator – preferably with experience from the employment field
• believe that young people can move forward into work or education, even when there are major challenges
• can span from work with descriptions and case collection to company-oriented focus and contact
• have fundamental knowledge of the education system and the labour market – and a desire to work directly with companies and education
• can set requirements to the young person in a friendly, clear and inclusive way
• are patient and persistent in the relationship
• work systematically and have a flair for administration and IT
• can collaborate broadly and have a holistic approach
• can communicate in a motivating and inclusive way

Employment terms

There are two parental leave substitutes for 37 hours/week with employment as soon as possible or no later than January 1, 2027.

Salary according to Ny Løn and the applicable collective agreement.

The expected starting salary for full-time and excluding pension lies in the range of kr. 33,491.5 (salary step 32) - kr. 37,505.26 (salary step 38 + base pay) in accordance with the collective agreement for administration and IT, as well as for municipal-employed social workers and social mediators §§3-6 on salary setting. It should be noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined based on your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.
