Maintenance technician for shift work

On behalf of KMC Derivat Randstad is currently seeking a skilled technician for a completely newly created position at their factory in Brande. As part of further optimizing production, the maintenance department is now expanding with technicians who will follow the production roll.

¤work tasks and responsibilities

The other technicians at the factory work on a fixed day shift. Your role will be to follow the production's shift cycle. This means that on some shifts you will work side by side with the day shift, while at other times you will be the only technician on the shift, where your task is to ensure operation and uptime outside normal working hours. You have a fixed base starting from the workshop, but your primary workflow will be out in the production area itself, where things happen, in close collaboration with the production staff.

You will work in a 5-week rotation with 12-hour shifts (start time 06:00 or 18:00), alternating between day, night, weekend and where you know your plan a full year in advance.

¤In headlines the following tasks can be highlighted

• Troubleshooting and handling of sudden breakdowns on the plant.
• Ongoing preventive maintenance with a focus on ensuring uptime.
• Work in the maintenance system VM4000
• Cleanup in connection with completed tasks.
• Written reporting and ordering of spare parts from suppliers.
• Knowledge sharing and close collaboration with the rest of the technical team.

¤qualifications and attributes

As an entry to this job, we expect you to have strong abilities in both electrical and mechanical engineering. You have a relevant educational background and most likely come from a production environment. Experience from the food industry is an advantage, but not a strict requirement.
