About the job

Generalist position with focus on safety, operations and development in psychiatry.

Would you like to help strengthen safety and create secure, well-functioning physical environments for patients and staff in psychiatry at Aarhus University Hospital? And would you like to contribute to the cross-cutting safety work across Region Midtjylland's acute hospitals?

Are you motivated by working at the intersection of analysis, planning, coordination and practical operations – and would you like to make a concrete difference in a complex health-care organization?

Then you may be our new maternity-leave cover in the Unit of Operations and Safety in Health and Hospital Planning.

About the position

We are seeking an engaged and academically strong employee who wants to help ensure continuity and quality in our task execution while one of our colleagues is on maternity leave. The position is ideal for you if you have a bit of experience and want to develop your competences in an organization where professionalism, collaboration and operations go hand in hand.

As maternity-leave cover you will contribute to developing and supporting safety work in psychiatry at AUH and across Region Midtjylland's acute hospitals. You will have a varied day-to-day where you work with data, analyses and management support and contribute to coordination and concrete operational tasks.

You will become part of the Unit of Operations and Safety, which consists of nine employees with technical, administrative and academic backgrounds. We closely collaborate with the hospital's technical units, service functions, clinical departments and the occupational health and safety organization.

With us you get the opportunity to work across professional disciplines and organizational levels. You will also be part of a team where we help each other, share knowledge and ensure that tasks are followed through.

Your main tasks

You will play an important role in creating a solid professional foundation for safety work and in translating data, knowledge and analyses into concrete actions. This requires attention to detail, understanding of the whole, and the ability to collaborate across boundaries.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

  • support safety work through collection, structuring and analysis of data
  • contribute to systematic follow-up on incidents, registrations and action plans
  • prepare decision proposals, notes and presentations for management forums
  • communicate knowledge and results clearly and purposefully to managers, clinicians and other partners
  • contribute to planning and coordination across units, for example in connection with relocations, rearrangements and the commissioning of new buildings
  • provide an overview of tasks, processes and interfaces and help ensure that agreements are followed up and tasks are completed.

Who are you?

It would be an advantage if you have experience from psychiatry, health care or the safety field. The most important thing is, however, that you have the right professional prerequisites, are curious and eager to learn.

We envision that you

  • have a relevant higher education, e.g. cand.scient.adm., cand.scient.pol., cand.mag., cand.scient.san. or similar
  • are curious about the health care sector and have an interest in safety, data and development in complex organizations
  • work in a structured and analytical way and can create an overview of both data, processes and tasks
  • express yourself clearly and precisely – both in writing and orally
  • thrive with coordination and collaboration across professional disciplines and organizational levels
  • take responsibility for your tasks and follow them through
  • are keen to learn new things and develop professionally.

Having a driving license would be an advantage in connection with fulfilling the role.

We offer

With us you get

  • a workplace with high professionalism, an informal tone, and a strong collegial community
  • an opportunity to contribute to and influence the development of safety work in psychiatry
  • a varied position where you gain insight into the interplay between administration, technology, clinical practice and operations
  • close cooperation with engaged colleagues and many different professional groups
  • a thorough introduction and good opportunities for professional development.

To give you the best conditions for success in the role, we ensure an introduction program so you get to know the area, build up your competences and gradually take responsibility for your own tasks.

Salary and terms of employment

This is a maternity-leave contract of 37 hours per week with expected start on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The maternity-leave contract runs, as a rule, until February 2028.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement and are determined based on your qualifications and experience.
