Mechanical designer wanted

Do you want to translate complex ideas into robust and production-ready solutions?

We are looking for an experienced mechanical designer who can design in sheet materials (steel) and at the same time has a strong focus on production-technical solutions. As part of the designer team, you contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of our design processes as well as to a good and efficient flow of information between design and production.

Your primary tasks

• Design of sheet solutions in SolidWorks with focus on quality, assembly and production friendliness
• Optimization of designs with respect to material usage, efficiency and workflow
• Ensure efficient information exchange between SolidWorks and D365
• Work closely with production, purchasing and project teams to create smooth and durable solutions
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of design and production processes

We imagine that you

• Have solid experience with mechanical design, primarily in sheet materials (steel)
• Have production-technical knowledge and understand how design affects production and assembly
• Are proficient with SolidWorks and work with design optimization and automation
• Have understanding of information flow between design tools and ERP systems (D365)
• Take responsibility, work systematically and thrive in collaboration with different disciplines
• Have an education as mechanical engineer or equivalent
• Speak and write English

It would be advantageous if you

• Have experience with custom tools in SolidWorks
• Have knowledge of process optimization between design and production
• Have experience with project work and product development in larger organizations
• Have an artisanal technical background
• Can identify and implement optimization opportunities in SolidWorks and related Custom Tools in collaboration with the system owner
