Midwife sought for maternity leave cover in a warm and modern clinic in Østerbro

Parental leave substitute approx. 22 hours per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

At Alexandria Clinic we are looking for a midwife for a parental leave position who would like to become part of our small, engaged clinic community.

We are located at the end of the lakes on Østerbrogade , just a few minutes' walk from the metro, in bright and inviting premises, which we moved into in 2024.

We are two specialists in general medicine, one midwife, a medical laboratory scientist and a team of engaged medical students. In addition, we often have a teaching doctor attached.

We work closely together in everyday life and prioritize both professional sparring, good humor and a working environment where you feel seen and valued.

General practice encompasses both the simple and the complex, and we make sure that you are never alone with the difficult situations.

Your role with us

As a midwife you will mainly have a role around pregnant women, new mothers and children , including pregnancy checks, postpartum issues, basic gynecology and child examinations.

You will also participate in the clinic's other daily tasks and take on relevant nursing-related tasks, as we do not employ a nurse. This can include blood tests, urine tests, ECG, vaccinations, spirometry and other clinical tasks depending on your competencies.

You will have a high degree of independence in the work, but always with the opportunity to spar with doctors and colleagues. We emphasize that you feel secure in your tasks and that there is room to ask questions, discuss and learn along the way.

The everyday can also include practical tasks such as ordering supplies, handling and preparing instruments and other relevant clinic work . We help each other with the tasks that make the clinic run – big and small.

Experience in general practice is a great advantage, but not a requirement. The most important for us is that you want to be part of our everyday life and are willing to take responsibility for your own tasks. We provide good training and a smooth transition before our current midwife goes on maternity leave.

The position is a parental leave position of about 22 hours per week , as a rule distributed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday .

Start date: By agreement, we anticipate in the course of November.
