About the job

Do you want to help develop and future-proof the monitoring of Region East Denmark's critical IT infrastructure?

In the forthcoming Digitalisation and Technology (DIT), we are seeking a monitoring specialist who will help develop, standardize and future-proof the monitoring of the region's IT infrastructure.

You will become part of the new Security Design unit, where we will work to ensure stable, robust and secure operation of the platforms and systems that support the hospitals’ daily work. Here you will play a central role in creating overview, coherence and progress in the development of our platform monitoring across Region East Denmark.

Help develop the monitoring of the future platform

In the Security Design section we will work to support a stable, robust and secure operation of the region's IT infrastructure. We will monitor systems and infrastructure, develop and maintain technical security measures and contribute to handling operating disturbances and security incidents.

We will collaborate across the organization to ensure high availability, efficient fault-finding and a solid basis for daily operations. We will achieve this, among other things, through systematic monitoring, continuous improvement of our technical solutions and close cooperation with the teams responsible for operating the region's IT infrastructure.

Key role in consolidating and developing platform monitoring

You will become part of the Security and Security Design sections, where you will take a central role in the work of collecting, standardising and further developing platform monitoring across Region East Denmark.

You will act as the liaison between technology, operations and business and must create overview, coordinate efforts across the organization and ensure progress in consolidating platforms, strengthening monitoring and supporting stable and secure operation of one of Denmark's most complex IT infrastructures.

At the same time, you will play an important role in the continued development of the Zabbix platform and the solutions that will ensure effective monitoring of the region's critical IT services, networks and infrastructure.

Your area of responsibility will include

  • Drive consolidation and standardisation of platforms across the two regions and ensure progress in related activities.
  • Create an overview of tasks, dependencies, resources and milestones and support common priorities across disciplines and in your team.
  • Contribute to financial planning and forecasts to create a solid decision basis for the continued development of the platforms.
  • Coordinate management, standardisation and consolidation of the Zabbix platform and other monitoring platforms.
  • Further develop monitoring and capacity monitoring with a focus on high coverage and high operational stability.
  • Ensure coherent monitoring of networks, connections, servers, storage, services and other infrastructural components.
  • Support effective alerting and escalation to the Operations Duty and Incident Management in case of outages, overloads and operational disturbances.
  • Ensure relevant documentation and operational guides that support efficient handling of alarms and incidents.
  • Create strong collaboration relations across teams and stakeholders to ensure consistent and future-proof monitoring.

This is a role for you if you are motivated by creating structure in complex environments and thrive on bringing together people, processes and technology around common solutions and shared goals.

You will likely have experience

We therefore imagine that you

  • Have an education in IT, IT infrastructure or have gained equivalent competences through relevant experience
  • Have experience with IT infrastructure, operations and platform monitoring
  • Have knowledge of monitoring tools, preferably Zabbix
  • Have understanding of networks, servers, storage and services
  • Have experience with or strong competences in coordinating technical tasks, projects or cross-cutting initiatives
  • Have an analytical approach and can create an overview of finances, costs and expected development

It will be an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with

  • Consolidation or harmonisation of IT platforms
  • Capacity monitoring, alerting and incident management
  • ITIL or an equivalent framework
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation across technical environments
  • Budget follow-up or financial forecasts

You will thrive particularly well with us if you

  • Work in a structured and analytical way and can create overview in complex technical contexts
  • Are good at bringing people together around common goals and creating momentum through collaboration
  • Communicate clearly and can translate technical problems into concrete plans and decision bases
  • Are proactive and follow up on agreements, deliveries and deadlines
  • Build good relations across disciplines and organizational boundaries
  • Contribute actively to a positive and collaborative work environment

We also place emphasis on you being comfortable with coordinating tasks and serving as a team coordinator, and we therefore expect you to want to contribute to planning, prioritization and coordination of joint activities.
