IT employee for vulnerability management

Would you like to contribute to strengthening security in the state’s IT operations? We are looking for a colleague who can conduct vulnerability scans and translate technical findings into clear reports and concrete recommendations, creating a solid basis for further handling.

About the position We are looking for an independent, responsible and engaged colleague who can help develop vulnerability management in Statens It and contribute to an efficient and secure operation for our 60,000 users across 21 ministerial areas.

You will join a team that is responsible for vulnerability and patch management in Statens It. One of the tasks will be to perform vulnerability scans on demand and prepare reports that provide a clear basis for the further handling. You will follow the task from the initial meeting where purpose and scope are clarified, to the actual scanning, reporting and the subsequent meeting with the requester.

You will become part of Team Preventive Security in the Center for Security and Compliance. Here you contribute to identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring that results are followed up.

You will, among other things, be involved in

• conduct vulnerability scans and prepare reports with clear findings, priorities and recommendations for the customer.
• analyze vulnerabilities based on various parameters such as CVSS score, criticality and business risk.
• participate in dispatch duty and allocate or follow up on other security cases
• review both exploited and not-yet-exploited vulnerabilities and assess which ones require further handling

About you We imagine that you have experience with vulnerability scanning or other technical disciplines and can distinguish between technical findings and their practical significance. You work systematically, document your assessments and can convey the results clearly to both technical and non-technical recipients. It is an advantage if you have experience with handling and coordinating security cases.

We especially emphasize the following qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability scanning or equivalent practical work identifying and assessing IT vulnerabilities
• Ability to review scanning results, investigate possible false positives and prioritise findings by risk and context
• Experience in writing understandable technical reports with concrete recommendations for follow-up
• Ability to clarify the scope and boundaries with a customer and communicate results at a follow-up meeting
• A systematic way of working and experience documenting and following up on security cases
• Experience with technical minimum requirements

Employment terms You are employed under the applicable collective agreement with the possibility of negotiation depending on qualifications.
