Come to Stengård School if…

…you will meet your new team in the 8th grade, where you will teach mathematics together with Ditte and Christian. You are therefore three teachers sharing two classes, both when you prepare the teaching, when you carry it out, and when you evaluate the teaching. Ditte and Christian have in any case known the classes since 1st grade, so there is an in-depth knowledge of the students' academic level and potentials.

You will join a team with Camilla, Brian and Karin in the 8th grade, who are all Danish language teachers. You should drop by us if you miss or value close teamwork, because the three are very good at helping each other with the tasks related to both student and parent collaboration.

We also need you to collaborate with Sune and Simon on mathematics teaching in the 6th grade. The principle is the same as in mathematics in the 8th grade; you prepare, implement and evaluate the teaching together. There is a good opportunity for different forms of shared teaching at both places, precisely because you are three together for the teaching. The same applies to the two year groups: there is a close relationship with the students and good school–home collaboration.

As a central part of our school effort, we work purposefully with life skills. We believe that capable children are created in a safe and predictable environment. Therefore we navigate by clear expectations for our staff, parents and students. For us, this means that we take shared responsibility for the community, and that everyone knows what they can count on in everyday life.

In everyday life you will meet other colleagues and a leadership team who want to get to know you. You will quickly feel at home in the building if you thrive with an informal tone and with colleagues who help each other. Many of your new colleagues have been at Stengård School for a number of years, precisely because you never feel you are alone. Whether you are an experienced teacher or new to the field, you will get a colleague at the school as a mentor. We have experience that gives you as a newcomer a safe and good start.

An important detail is that the position is a maternity leave replacement, which is available now. BUT we hope that our collaboration with you becomes so good that we can convert the maternity leave position into a permanent appointment. Perhaps you have heard that in Gladsaxe Municipality we will increase teaching staff at all schools because the politicians have allocated additional funds from the coming school year, so we are very interested in already now finding the teachers who can mirror the way we run the school.

Gladsaxe introduces a two-teacher system in Grades 1 to 3

Gladsaxe Municipality introduces from the start of the 2027 school year a two-teacher system in all subjects from Grades 1 to 3 in all of the municipality’s public schools. It is the first time in Denmark that a municipality introduces two qualified teachers in all subjects – initially for Grades 1 to 3.

With the two-teacher system, the City Council aims to strengthen students' subject knowledge and well-being by creating better opportunities for presence, calm, deepening and more learning time for the individual student. At the same time, the system creates flexible possibilities for group work and varied teaching sequences.
