Night shift at Bakkegården

At Bakkegården we are seeking our new night shift worker, because our experienced and seasoned night shift after many good years with us is taking early retirement.

It's not just a chair to fill. It's a colleague who will take over after someone who for many years has helped create security, calm and good nights for our residents.

Therefore we are looking for you who want to become an important part of Bakkegården – and who can see the value in the quiet work that takes place when the rest of the house is asleep.

At night you are working alone, and therefore you must be able to work independently, make decisions and keep an overview. You must be able to sense when a resident needs you, and when the most important thing is to create calm and let the night be the night.

You will be the one who does the last round, dims the lights, helps a resident back to bed and perhaps takes the time for the small conversation that means more than one would think.

A little about Bakkegården

Bakkegården is the residents' home. A place with companionship, presence and contact, where we plan everyday life together with the residents and involve them in the good everyday life.

We are an engaged staff group with a desire for development and upskilling. We are proud of our good working environment and our strong community. We work as one team across the building and across shifts. Even though you work alone at night, you are never alone as a colleague. We help each other, spar with each other and have respect that all professional groups and shift teams are an important part of the same core task. Our goal is to create the best workplace for the staff and the best daily life for each resident.

We are looking for you who...

• Are trained as a social- and health care helper, social- and health care assistant or nurse
• Can work independently and alone and at the same time know when you should reach out for help
• Have a good professional overview and can prioritize your tasks
• Are comfortable making decisions on your own
• Are proud of your professionalism and dare to bring it into play
• Have an eye for the individual resident and their needs
• Can create calm, security and presence
• Wish to work 7/7
• Are good at observing and responding to changes in the residents' condition
• Are good at documenting and passing on your observations
• Want to be part of a community – even if your working day takes place when most others are asleep

You do not have to be our old night shift... But we hope you want to become our new.
